I'm honestly baffled. He and 35 year old Sheed are practically splitting the minutes at center. KG coming off of knee surgery is playing more minutes than him. Rondo the other starter under 30 is averaging almost 10 more minutes than him.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Me and my brother were talking about this during the game.  Pretty confused by Doc's substitional strategy lately.

Ask Doc? He'll probably refer to Sheed and his lights out shooting.

Good question.  I guess you could argue that with House (or Robinson) not playing that it's a matter of spacing, but this has been a season-long thing.  I definitely would like to see Perk getting around 32 minutes.

As would I...

Looking forward to Nate being in the lineup Tuesday.  We really could have used him for a game like todays.

He can't spread the other teams defense with his impressive outside shooting. Or can you really call what Sheed puts up a "shot?"

I guess that must be it. I thought it could be foul trouble so I just looked it up and he's averaging 3 PFs per game (5.1 per 48) so that definitely isn't the reason.

I think the reason that he's averaging 3 PFs per game is because Doc keeps his minutes down. I also think Doc is giving Rasheed the opportunity to play himself back into shape.

Maybe Doc's hoping that one of Baby and Sheed will be able to play themselves into shape.

After 50 games, let's hope that Rasheed finds a way to get into shape soon, then.  I think Doc simply prefers perimeter-oriented big men, and that's why he's going with Rasheed as much as Perk.

To much Davis.  He is playing about 18 minutes a game the past two months.

There should be more Perk/Wallace and KG/Wallace.   Less Davis/Wallace.

Davis should be playing closer to 8-10 minutes a game.

Agreed.  Though Perk has a propensity for getting his shot blocked, BBD is three times worse.  He hustled, but he's not on the level of the other three.

Doc needs to be a little more proactive with substitutions and get Wallace in there a little earlier.  Too often he waits until both Perk and KG need a breather, and then he has to bring in BBD.

He should follow the pattern we saw with Denver.  There three main big men all played around 30 minutes.

I wish Perks would learn the sky hook and then we won't need anyone else to sub for him, except for a break.
