Someone explain to me why rondo can't stay in front of billups?!? It's not like he is using his strength advantage.

Cause Rondo is a seriously overrated on ball defender. Rondo just wants to poke the ball from behind. He doesn't seem to have much interest in staying in front of his man.

If you were inventing a prototype SF, you'd come up with something very close to Melo.

Yup.

I'd come up with LeBron... then Melo... but that's just me.

You give either one of those guys Larry Bird's brain and drive and you're quite possibly looking at the greatest basketball player ever.

Oh my goodness that would be insanity!

I'm impressed with the fight we've shown the past 2 quarters but I'm not sure we have enough left in the tank. Worked our way to a tie game and actually ended the quarter with a bigger deficit than we started  :-\

He was kind of lockdown in '07-'08. What happened?

Rondo also tweaked something the other night against Portland. I think it was a hamstring. Usually Billups beats him with strength, rather than speed.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
these touch fouls are killing us.
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

I think the captain needs to sit for 4 or 5 games. He is absolutely contributing nothing to the team right now. Would rather he get healthy than play like this. What do you guys think?
Im thinkng he needs to play himself into shape.

Seems like they exhausted a lot of their energy just trying to get back to even.
