  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
When I saw she was calling the game I thought "A lady? I don't know about this."

But she is on point. Doris is the man..er...well she's a darn good color person.

Yeah, she's good.  Seems a lot less biased than the usual commentators.

During yesterday's game it was so freaking obvious how biased the commentators were since they'd go absolutely nuts every time a Lakers player did something while showing little excitement at all about anything the Celts did.

I really appreciate Doris Burke's cool and collected demeanor.

She was awful for his first year with ESPN but has calmed down since then.

Still has the odd extremely annoying streak (especially when LeBron is playing) but they are a lot less frequent than they used to be.

She just noticed that Tony Allen was able to jump off of both feet despite being hurt...then references that Rondo make a high layup in LA last night. I am impressed.

LOL...that wouldn't fly in the PC world we live in today.  Doris, I would admit, has improved.  She's been dreadful in the past, mostly because she is so bland.  But she's not too bad...

I've heard her call games a few times and she's always been knowledgeable and unbiased. She and Hubie make a good team IIRC. And she pronounces Rajon right so she's alright in my book.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

I like both of the commentators tonight.  Sooo much better than Mark Jackson et. al.

Agreed.  I've always liked her.

I watched the game on CSN instead of ESPN.

Donny has really been doing color a lot better his last 3-4 games. He stopped saying "Mike" after the end of every sentence.

Doris used to be soooo annoying but she's been better recently. She's all right.

It's nice watching on CSN because it's just so familiar. I can't watch 3 national telecasts in a row. I need my Mike fix!!
