Almost afraid to say it, but that is as dominant a half as this team has played all year. And they did it without the captain really contributing. Very impressive, but the moment of truth awaits -- the 3rd quarter!

I've gotta say I got very excited when I noticed Rondo went baseline and didn't pass it. I knew he would look for his own shot, and it was a great shot. Maybe he's there. Maybe he became a good shooter this season and we haven't realized it yet.

56 point half and a 18 point lead?

Yeah, they're showing it tonight.

Best half I can remember in quite a while.  Hope that I see an even better one in, say, fifteen minutes?

It seems like he always hits those buzzer beaters.

Last night's win at LA after the trade deadline may be the turning point of this season.

Yeah, especially when he's being covered by a 37 year old PF. :P

Possibly the best half of basketball the Celtics have played this season.

The defense was great and everyone was intently going after every rebound.

The ball movement on offense was great for the most part (except when Pierce was controlling the action)  Rondo and KG were great with Rasheed and Big Baby giving huge efforts from the bench.

This upcoming second half is vital to the Celtics.  They desperately need to come out strong in the 3rd quarter and finish this game off early.  They haven't had a blowout in so long it would do wonders for their psyche especially coming on a back to back.  They can't afford to blow another big lead and wilt in the second half.

We all keep saying that one of these nights the C's are going to play a great game for 48 minutes and not give back a big lead.  Could tonight finally be that night???

You can't really leave Rondo anymore -- or at least it's getting there.  His shot is becoming much more reliable. Especially the desperation shots --  shoots better when he's thinking less.

BTW, the poster who started the Doris Burke thread is correct -- she's terrific.

We are all dreaming with you, we're just being careful not to wake up yet.
