The Celtics are near full strength and barely won against the Kings.
In LA, the Lakers won't miss free throws.

With Kobe being quoted as not playing, who do you blame if the Celtics lose this game?

After the last game against the Lakers, losing after leading by double digits, I will blame Doc.

There is something sour about this team that is not known.
The Celts have blown so many double digit leads only to lose games they usually win by 20 or more.

Doc and the Celts need this game more than any game to get their pride, confidence and respect back.

If the Celts get a big lead, and lose again, I would look hard at the way Doc has been mixing the 1st and 2nd units.

Doc took us to the promise land, but maybe he has lost control over all of the veterans.

The Lakers are actually better without Kobe. They won at home against the Spurs without him and won in Utah without him. These two games were blowouts.

So the Celtics better not take the Lakers lightly because Kobe is missing, but I don't think they will.

Nate Robinson, out of spite.

I hereby proclaim that Nate Robinson is the official scapegoat for the rest of the Celtic's 2009-2010 season!

As always, the blame for ANY loss goes to the team and the coaches, as does the praise for any win ... basketball is a team sport, and losses are never attributable to just one or two.

How dare you inject common sense into this thread!

How can you blame someone/anyone when the game hasn't even been played yet?

Yup. Where's the LA coverage now, ESPN?
Kobe holds back the combo of Bynum, Odom, Gasol, all of whom know what to do. Let's just say they'd rather replace Kobe with Shannon Brown than lose Gasol.

Really, I blame banner 17. We made a deal with the devil. If we wanted to keep getting better every year, we shouldn't have traded for 65 million dollars worth of wrong side of 30 players. So really, I blame the whole championship run of 2008...and I'm still happy about it.

mabey the much simpler explanation is that our core vetrans (I.E PP, KG, Ray) are simply not as good as they were two years ago, due to being in thier mid thirties?

The sooner people start to accept that, the better off we'll all be. There's no giant conspiracy theory, players slow down as they get older/ get injured.

All three of them are significantly farther along in their decline than they were two years ago, KG and Paul in particular.

If we lose tonight, I'll "blame" a combo of the lakers younger, better talent (specifically gasol, bynum, arrtest and odom) and this guy:

“I will hurt you for this. A day will come when you think you’re safe and happy and your joy will turn to ashes in your mouth. And you will know the debt is paid.” – Tyrion
