Just throwing this out there:

BOS Sends R. Allen, House, Walker, #1
BOS Gets Martin, Udoka, Robinson, Jeffries

NYC Sends Mobley, Chandler, Robinson, Jeffries
NYC Gets R. Allen, House, Walker, Rodriguez

SAC Sends Martin, Udoka, Rodriguez
SAC Gets Mobley, Chandler, #1

Chandler and Landry are pretty much the same, Mobley is an ensured contract (saving big money), plus they land a low first rounder. All in all, a marginally better proposal.

I think people on this site really underestimate landry, im shocked that the Rockets gave him away so cheaply.

I don't like this deal for Houston at all.

Carl Landey probably has the best contract in the NBA scores 16 a game off the bench and is paid $3 million a year. Their ony big man are now Hayes and Scola!

To get Kevin Martin a guy that is always injured and needs guys to create shots for him.

There is only one problem, Aaron Brooks is the PG in Houston and hes a s hoot first, look for my own shots PG.

I dont see how this makes Houston any better, Landry is vastly underatted.

He deserved to be most improved player and 6th man of the year this year

They got him for nothing. They can use him in a trade if he doesn't work out. They are giving up a guy who hasn't played in years and won't play again for them for talent. Great trade for Rockets! They turned nothing into something.

Landry is a 6'8" backup power forward (96% of his minutes this season are at power forward - 82games.com, 1 start) that scores first and rebounds at the same rate as Rasheed Wallace (11.6 vs. 11.0 espn.com). In 27.2 minutes per game, he averages 0.8 assists (espn.com).

When Landry is on the court, his team scores 5.1 more points / 100 possessions, and gives up 3.0 more points per 100 possessions. This is against second teamers. There is a reason he does not start. He is also 26.

Chandler has started every game this season, has great size for his possition. As a starter playing out of position (65% of minutes spent at shooting guard) on a terrible team, his +/- per 100 is essentiall flat. He is 22 years old, and remains on his rookie contract for another season before becoming and RFA. In my opinion, he is a vastly superior asset.

Please don't tell me Chandler is a better player than Landry. If Chandler played in any other system outside D'Antonis his numbers would pale in comparison.

Have you even watched a rockets game all year? Landry is undersized but hes an absolute beast.

Sacremento made out like bandits in this deal.

I don't think Sacramento made out like Bandits. I think they acquired a nice piece for Kevin Martin, who just wasn't going to work next to Tyreke.

Much better deal for Houston that whatever crap New York was trying to hoist on them.

Another wing on their roster, though; is Ariza or Battier now more available, or are they just going to play small?  Wouldn't trading one of those guys (plus filler) for Carlos Boozer make some sense?  Give them a legit PF, eliminate some redundancy on the roster, clean up some long-term salary.  Could see either Ariza or Battier doing very well under Sloan.

If they move T-Mac for the package that the Knicks were originally offering as well as getting Landry, I think they did very well for themselves.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

If they can pull that off yeah, but I have my doubts.

I'm pretty sure the Kings aren't getting T-Mac at all - I heard it's a 3 way deal that sends T-Mac to the Knicks as originally planned.  If T-Mac goes to the Kings he can't be traded again this season, they'd have to wait a month.

This is not true. He can be traded again, just not as part of a package of outgoing players.

So the one month rule doesn't apply if the player is traded as a single asset?  Is that correct?

Yes, that's why Q. Rich got traded 15 times in 30 days.

I love the deal for the Kings but I don't like it at all for the Rockets.  The Rockets have been winning with hustle and toughness, and they just traded a huge source of that for a soft player.  They have already seen that they play better without a soft 2/3 because they are always better without TMac.
