Keep in mind, it was the first half.  It means NOTHING.  Talk to me after the 3rd quarter.  Then we'll know if this team is changing its ways.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...

- Rumors of Ray Allen's demise have been greatly exaggerated.  I think the deadline passing was a big load off his mind and he seems more involved tonight.  Gotta cut back on dumb fouls though.

He's playing well, but 1 half of basketball doesn't make up for the first 51 games.

Sean Williams is a bad basketball player.

I can see some sense in signing him and trying to develop him in non-game situations ... hoping that maybe next year or the year after he'll be able to contribute.

But expecting him to join this team ... Outplay the Celtics backup big man and be a positive contributor to this team? I think that's impossible.

And I'll add one more:

- Perk is NOT as bad as he's playing now.  And yeah, he's playing pretty bad, but before this slump he'd had the best 40 game stretch of his career by far.  Maybe he's not as good as December Perk, but he's nowhere near as bad as February Perk.  Let's not give up on him now.

I'd like to see Perk take a reduced role offensively and concentrate more of his energy on grabbing rebounds and playing better defense.

Oh well, I have the day off tomorrow and have to spend the day at Parents weekend at my son's school attending all his classes with him. No stress tomorrow!

I agree, he's not out of the slump yet, but come on - his #s are down but it's not like he's sucked for 51 games straight.  He's been ineffective overall, but we've seen good Ray several times this year.

I agree. I have been very critical of Perkins recently, but I know he has some good game in him. He is too much of a ball stopper at this point in time. I wish he would be quicker with his moves and finish with up and unders like a few months ago. It's a little weird to see a guy's game regress in the middle of the season when he's Perk's age.

IT does around here, where opinions of players swing wildly by the week. To be expected on a blog, to be sure.

See Perkins, who played a great first half up until the final weak but is now subject of "perk is useless" posts all around

- We're watching a Celtics-Lakers game played at a very high level, with a lot of exciting plays and good basketball on both sides.  If this isn't fun to watch, what is?  :)

I thought this is why Naismith invented basketball in the first place!
