Question about a player lockout

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this topic wasn't sure. I remmeber the last NBA lockout season but I dont remmeber much details about it. If a lockout was to happen does that mean that all players dont play? Do players still get to play that want to play? Could the owners get Dleague players to replaced the ones that dont want to play? Kind of like say, the replacements movie with keanu reeves.

Well, not sure what it takes to make a lockout, but the nfl was taking about 2011 season problems, now the NBA...hmmmmm, what if......what if we were in a Great Depression...where everyone didn't earn a mill or 10 a year. Go ahead both leagues, alienate your hurting $$$ fans......Maybe then the pro players will get paid the rate adjustment that the rest of us had to deal with...!
