i don't want LeBron here because i am biased, i don't want him here because i strongly dislike him as a human being. I don't know how much clearer i can make that.

Kind of cool that you know the guy personally. Tell us all about your interactions with him. I'm sure you have some awesome stories.

1. that wasn't funny.

2. don't peg me as a "hater" just because i judge lebron based on his actions....and i'm sure everyone here is so excited to meet kobe bryant and see what he is really like!! No...

I dont think anyone here would go so far as to say they strongly dislike Kobe as a human being. We also have some more insight to Kobe's personal life (Colorado) and the public has forgiven him. I would take him on the Celtics in a second even though I sports hate him for playing on my least favorite team.

What 'actions' are you talking about?

how do you like a guy that talks publically about walking away from his team in summer of 2010 but suddenly keeps his mouth shut when his team is doing good? or draws away attention from everyone else to put his name in the 2010 dunk contest but doesnt even participate. Or gets rid of video tape because he's afraid that getting dunked on will ruin his image. Or is supposed to be a role model to many but refuses to shake hands when he is beat by the Orlando magic. The guy is just lame.

Maybe i went too far when i said i "strongly dislike" him since i don't actually know him but his character just hasn't impressed me.

Everyone here is making me look like "I HATE LEBRON! HE'S WORSE THAN HITLER!!" but in reality, i just wouldn't want him representing my favorite team. That's all. Just my opinion.

1. Yeah. It kind of was.
2. If you are feeling like a hater then it's on you not me. I assumed because you said that you disliked the guy as a human being you must know him personally. Otherwise you couldn't.

Point is that this is a pretty strong comment about somebody that is PERSONAL when you don't even know the guy. Maybe it would be a little more appropriate to say that you dislike how he has handled some things. Then you could have given some examples instead of just spewing hatred at the guy. You don't know anything about his "character" as you state in a clarification later either quite honestly. I think that those comments are likely why you are FEELING like a hater when no one said anything of the sort.

I don't care that he didn't shake hands, thy never shake hands in baseball.  Do you have a problem with that?  He never should have skipped the media interviews though.  I agree with you there.
The beauty of being a free agent is having the ability to go to any team you choose.  I don't mind Lebron telling NY media that he hasn't ruled out the Knicks...you know why?  It keeps pressure on the Cavs to constantly improve their team and become complacent with their superstar (see: Heat, Miami).

He actually offered to enter the dunk contest if other superstars would join him and donate half the winnings to Haiti.  No one stepped up.  I wouldn't enter that pathetic dunk contest if I were James either.  Whats the point?  Who's your competition?  A bunch of bench players and Gearld Wallace.  What's the appeal in that?

Nike got rid of the dunk tape, not him.  Talk about something being overblown.  That wasn't even his guy.

Believe me, he and shaq had already talked about that.  Either way, this has gone way off topic.

I don't want him to go to Miami. That would create a powerhouse for the next 7-8 years and make it nigh on impossible for anyone else in the East to beat them.

I don't want to see LeBron in NY either. The media coverage to that would be head wrecking. And that team would be devastating in the near future.

Minnesota. Minnesota sounds good. Go to Minnesota.

  • Another undersized Celtic...
Would LBJ even work in NY under D'Antoni? He's a coach who likes to wear the pants (Lebron has been handled with kid gloves in CLeveland cause of his status and stature), and he also likes to just run, score, and play no defense.
I'd like to see him in Chicago

I strongly dislike Kobe as a human being. He is a hell of a basketball player but his cocky attitude really makes him seem like a jerk (see Phil Jackson's book and the Spike Lee documentary about him that aired last year).

Beat me too it.

Why would you ever want this guy on the celtics? He's a self centered, prima donna. Every winning celtics team has been about character, toughness, and discipline. LeBron has none of that (well maybe discipline)

If he were ever to put on a Boston uniform, i'd puke uncontrollably.

is he a prima donna, yes.....BUT, he is also the best bball player in the world, is young, and has the NBA and its officials in his back pocket.....we would get phantom calls in our favor all the time :)
That is the best point I've read here about reasons we should put our hate of him aside for the good of the C's.

I strongly peronally dislike anyone who rapes a person and just pays to make it go away.
