I see that Juan Dixon tested positive for Nandralone (an illegal steroid) and was suspended indefinitely by Uncaja Malaga and the IBF.  His wife claims that the steroid was in an over-the-counter supplement he purchased at GNC, but I find that very hard to believe.

When is the NBA going to take a position on the use of steroids and other PEDs? Will players like LeBron James ever be tested for steroids? Does anyone doubt that PEDs are in use in the NBA?

  • Yup
If Stern was relatively unphased by refs fixing games, then why should a little thing like steroids bug him much?
Yup

Rashard Lewis got suspended for the first ten games of the season, right?

When there is enough outrage by the public to force their hands.  Considering the second best player on last years Eastern Conference Champs got suspended for PED's, and it barely registered on the radar, I think there is a long way to go before people start paying attention.

Stern is a master of spin, and sweeping things under the rug.  As long as he is in charge, I think Lebron (not to mention Perk and Rondo) will be fine.

I may be in the minority, but I could care less about steroids in professional sports.

Good point as well as the best player on the Magic.  It must be the extra 10 pounds he put on.  I knew he was juicing..err

I stopped getting outraged at the use of PEDs a long time ago.

I think their use is pretty prevalent across the majority of sports.

Steroids make me go up the stairs really fast, so it could be speculated that they have an impact on the performance of NBA players as well.

Also, take a look at a picture of Pietrus last year compared to this year.  I think Lewis must have been his hook up.

I may be in the minority, but I could care less about steroids in professional sports.

Same. In fact, I would just supply steroids to everyone and level the playing field.
