Don't cut and paste the article, that's plagiarism.  But you can post the 5 trades without Ford's commentary, and we can make up our own minds.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
The Celtics aren't included in the article, in case you were wondering.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

It is copyright infringement. Plagiarism would be claiming someone else's work as your own.

Excerpts with a link to the source are fine. So if someone wanted to post the five trades without the the full rationales that would be fine.

It's not copyright infringement if you describe the 5 trades in your own words, e.g. Team A trades p;layers a,b,c to team B, and receives players x,y,z in return.

I believe that is legally called "slander"

Looks like it's pretty fair for everyone. Makes Miami much much better.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Trade 2:

Trade 3 (includes the rights to Tiago Splitter going to Chi):

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yjjqwxo

Trade 4 (one Jerry Buss ain't doin'):

Trade 5 (which I'm jealous of):

Both the Jazz and the Mavs don't do trade 2.
Trade 3 makes sense if Chicago really is trying hard to shed salary and SA doesn't mind taking it on.
Trade 4 same as trade 3 if Chicago doesn't care about getting talent back and only want to be free of contracts that's a good deal.
No way LAC's ownership accepts that deal.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

That Clippers + Sixers trade is very good for LA. I desperately wanted to see LA go after either Andre Iguodala or Josh Smith during free agency two years ago instead of trading for Camby. Both of those guys would have been excellent fits at the time.

Baron Davis + Eric Gordon + Iggy + Blake Griffin + Kaman

That is one heck of a starting five and they'd have Dalembert as a reserve + trade asset next season.

The deal makes very little sense for Phily but it's reportedly what they're looking for.

I think I said it over on the NBA Basketball Thread ... but I would love to see San Antonio acquire Tyrus Thomas. He would be an excellent complement to Tim Duncan defensively.

Timmy desperately needs a true power forward with quickness, overall athleticism and defensive ability alongside him. Someone who can take those perimeter orientated guys and quick opposing face up bigs off his hands. Then help out with the team defense and shot blocking. Let San Antonio rebuild their former defensive glory.

Tyrus Thomas would be perfect for them.

No, it has nothing to do with slander.
