I came to a realization tonight. I feel the same way about the C's as I did about the Pats half way through the season. You knew they were not good enough to win it. Not with some of the losses they had. I found myself only caring about the Colts not winning. (Similar to how I feel when the Sox are out of it - I only care about the Yankees not winning).
I now find myself only caring that the Lakers not win. And when I see them win a game like tonight against a good team without Kobe and Bynum it makes me sick to my stomach. As sad as it sounds to say, I will be ok with this season, as long as the Lakers don't win. Much like the Pats, I felt at peace the second Manning through that interception. Maybe lightening can't strike twice, but I beg the Sports God, please, please whatever happens this season, don't let the Lakers win it.
