I would think we were giving up after all of these losses, but we are in every [dang] game. I only start to think a team is giving up on their coach when they are getting blown out constantly.

How about they give up in the second half. That is what I am seeing.

You'd think the celtics are reading the paper and online forums as much as we do. they believe they suck because all you ever hear about now are trade rumors, how the team is too old to compete. I guess they have internalized this. i wonder now, does anybody think Pierce is on his way out? Because he has spent his whole career here, he would likely take a paycut to come back next year. That makes trading Allen instead a more realistic option. As much as Celtic fans dont want to see it, I am getting the feeling a trade will be completed shortly. Ainge will look bad standing pat. hes even dropped some hints that moves are on the way.

Good point. If they were really a bad team, they wouldn't go up big on teams in the first place. They'd just get blown out from start to finish. The whole situation is completely mind boggling.

This team is fixated on the belief that they can flip the switch anytime they want too.

And I think they are so convinced of it, that they aren't all that concerned with the way they've been playing, (despite what they may say in the interviews, etc.). And turn to the injury  excuses, as reasoning as to why they play the way they do.

The truth of the matter is, no team in the history of the nba has ever made it all the way to the finals 100% healthy. There is always a rotation player with some form of injury/s along the way.

So I'm tired of this "wait until we are 100% healthy" talk.

There is something terribly wrong with the team's mindset. The killer instinct just isn't there at this point in time. And what's worse is they start playing selfish basketball once they lose a big lead. There seems to be no trust among the players. UBUNTU is nowhere near where it was in 2008. This team needs a major jolt, be it a ray allen trade, a small "minor" trade as ainge would put it, or maybe even a coaching change. I don't know but they seem to be giving up once they start losing those big leads. Cruising to the play-offs ala the Spurs is one thing, losing to mediocre teams is another. This team has run out of excuses...we need to turn it around before it's too late! Show me some Celtic Pride guys...Celtic Pride!

Celtics look like crap right now.  Kevin Garnett is rolling over in his grave.

I feel we need to give it a little time with full squad.  If PP & KG get healthy and play doesn't return to previous level the easiest thing would be fire doc.  It wasn't that long ago (beginning of season) that the c's looked really good.  Our second unit was building leads not just holding them.  I don't know if its marquis' injury, davis coming back etc etc
To early for US to give up on this team.  We need dirty work, rebounding, loose balls and defense.  Then once that is set only after EVERY player is doing that can we worry about ball movement, ubuntu and rotations.

Our bench was the only reason we had a chance to win last night. They got us back into the game after the starters blew the lead.

Why didn't Doc play the bench more when it was obvious the starters were hurting the team?  Didn't he say he was going to bench guys who weren't moving the ball?  Just lip service. :-\

I actually cringed when he put the starters back into the game. I thought the bench was playing too well to take out.

the best player we had last night was marquis daniels. TA played oK, sheed, as much as i cannot stand him, was fine offensively. On D, he was awful, but at this point, i will take what he gave us last night.
house is terrible, it was a awful matchup for him with collison, yet doc continues to trot him out there.

i do not know if the team has given up, but they are done. kg is done. pp needs rest. doc is being exposed, but the team has gotten old fast.

The notion that Doc Rivers should be replaced is crazy to me. We need a small shake up not a drastic decision.
