If he's talking about changing the chemistry and small trader, he must be talking about Sheed, right?  I mean the chemistry was great until Sheed got here and trading someone else from position 8-12 really won't change the chemistry.

I don't know that's necessarily true.

You got a young kid who was handed a new contract in the offseason.  One that pays him pretty well.  His conduct since then has been questionable at best.

A guy at the end of the bench or in the rotation can still make an impact in the locker room.

Someone else pointed this out on another site, but this feels a lot like right before the Ricky for Wally trade.  At that point, Danny was on the Big Show too, saying similar things, praising Wally, talking about how the team needed a personality change, etc.  Something's brewing.
You mean praising Ricky right?

i have nothing to add except we should accept any trade that has the word "rasheed" in it.

He went out of his way to say that he is not worried about anything in the locker room and that the team is "all good guys."

Nope, praising Wally.  Granted, I believe this was just a few hours before the trade happened, and the Big O had it from his "mole" that it was basically a done deal.  But Ainge denied the deal, but went on to praise Wally for his shooting, intelligence, and even saying he was a decent team defender (which I actually agree with...he just couldn't keep anyone in front of him one on one).

It was a kind of surreal interview, because everyone knew what was going on, but Danny couldn't actually say anything yet.

I am not saying anything is anywhere near as close here, but Danny did seem to be dropping the same type of hints as he did at that point.

I would be pretty surprised if Augustin is not on this team by next Thursday.

Our first trade prediction of the deadline season!

Chris, what did you make of the cryptic reference to Ray as nothing more an expiring contract to other teams around the league...

I sure wish we could hear from that girl last year who's friends father knew someone important in the C's organization and said that KG would defintiely play in the playoffs so we could lend some credibility to all of these 'rumors'. Seriously though, I dont think Danny would let on anything if he was about to trade Ray, Paul and KG much less other players on the team.

I don't know why anyone believes anything any of these guys say in interviews. 90 percent of its is BS.

100% is BS and deli guy has already spoken with regard to this issue I believe.

He's on the fence but, like previously mentioned BBD and his 3M and broken hand does not a good locker room make.

We're doing the opposite: we're reading into the possible loopholes of what he did and didn't say, and his tone.

With all due respect, that didn't sound any better than "thehoopsforum" on Twitter saying Nate to Boston was a "done deal". Of course, I do have to acknowledge that supposedly KG was trying to get himself back out here for a possible bout with the Cavs.

At the end of the day, Danny's already said he's trying to do a trade, even if he did claim it was minor. Does it mean it'll be "minor"? Well....is Ed "Too Tall" Jones....short?

I am certain that Danny is either:
a) Telling the truth
b) Lying
 or
c) Engaging in non-denial denials

It is among his primary responsibilities to protect the organization and its assets -- sometimes he can't perform this function without strategically witholding information.   But...that doesn't mean he is always witholding information.  Bottom line -- you can believe him some of the time.

Danny will wait until the last day to make trades. There will most likely be a team who wants to be a big player in free agency this coming year and will probably be in a desperate situation to rid themselves of salary. It is then that Danny will be given his "Godfather" offer and he will pounce. There is no doubt in my mind he will wait as long as possible for this to happen. I am confident we will not sit still and grow old next year without changes occuring but I am also confident he will not get rid of Ray for pennies on the dollar. A one in fifty chance at winning the title this year with our current team is better then a zero percent chance anyways..even if we do nothing, we still have chance to right the ship but my gut says The Godfather is going to pay us a big visit next week. ;D
