I honestly doubt Pierce would be allowed to play if he wasn't good to go.
While i actually agree with most of you post Tai, I couldn't pass this up.
Tell this to:
Leon Powe when the training staff cleared him to play on a bum knee, which he destroyed 2 quarters later.
Tell this to KG when he was told it was a sprain, sat two weeks, then came back and hurt it again and was told "opps...we totaly missed the major problem in your knee." last year.
Tell that to Al jefferson 4 years ago, when he complained of constant pain in his ankle, was told by the training staff it was sound, and was accused of milking the injury by his coach, only to find out a few weeks later that he had bone chips in his ankle the staff had missed.
Ed Lacerte and his staff are a joke. They should be replaced by a competent medical staff, asap.
None of that absolves doc, but man, it saddens me how the training staff gets a pass. They misdiagnose more injuries than any training staff ive ever seen. It's been a pet peeve of mine for years.
For instance, i have no basis for this, but i suspect they diagnosed paul with a broken foot off the xray, as the leaks indicated, and then when paul had the MRI done, no break was found.
The above is nitpicky when compared to the other gross misdiagnoses they've done over the years, but still.
