That's right

When Danny Ainge says he's not talking to anyone regarding trades and that he isn't initiating any trade talks and that he is happy with THIS team going forward, he's lying

Do not believe him for a second

Danny Ainge is going to make a trade within the next 8 days or so and he not only is going to make one, he is going to make more than one

The latest rumor with Glen "Don't call me Big Baby" Davis' name attached to it that has Dais heading off to Charlotte has way to much bite to it to be conjecture and innuendo

Danny, Wyc, Doc and the rest of the team is sick of this clown and base year compensation year contract or not, being a big man on a team that can't rebound or not, young and talented or not, he is gone

The team is desperate for a real backup point guard and Augustin is young, talented, not wanted we he is and would be a perfect fit here

Expect a Davis and House combo heading to North Carolina while Augustin and a $3 million trade exception heads to Boston

But don't expect Danny to stop there

Ray Allen is gone

Sorry, many here do not want to hear that but Ray Allen will be traded in a blockbuster deal before the deadline to bring in a major player

Also, I would expect another move with some of the expiring contracts involved

What these other trades are, well, this blog has pages and pages and pages of speculating on that and I will leave it to those pages for you to figure out which is right, but know this, there probably will be a few guys next Thursday night writing "I told you so" threads because they correctly guessed the trades that will take place

And they are going to happen

What this team has shown is as constructed, for whatever reasons, they aren't any longer a championship contender and changes need to happen because really, what are changes to this team now going to do, mess up their championship aspirations for this year

Danny doesn't have to worry that trades made to this team are going to screw around with this team's title hopes because the players on the court wearing Celtics jerseys are doing a fine job of that as we speak

Change is coming and it won't be in the form of just one little trade

Expect at least two and maybe three

Nostradamus, is that you? :o

The Baby/Augustin trade rumor is definitely intriguing since it would only make sense if we made another deal after this one to get a big man for the 2nd unit and possibly replace Ray with a younger talent.

With that said, I don't know if Danny will make some trade(s) or if he will stand pat but one thing is sure, the focus problems of this team can only improve once the trade deadline and all the uncertainty is creates to the team is passed.

you may be right that he's got multiple things lined up but I don't like the BBD for Augustin move.  Augustin isn't really a distributing PG and I believe a smaller version of House with less range.

I'm not against moving BBD, but I want more of a sure thing coming back.

Great I can't wait for the ' I told you so ' posts.  Shocker Danny might make a trade.

I can see this

One trade makes no sense

None or some does

I thin Danny makes a trade or more than one or he might make none. I also think he might pick up a free agent or two, but also might not. Hope I covered everything.

I'm not against moving BBD, but I want more of a sure thing coming back.
At least Augustin can dribble the ball up the court and penetrate.  He's still a decent prospect.  But I agree that it would be tough to trade what appears to be our second most reliable big man for a midget.  Still, Augustin would be a better fit than Nate Robinson, so if there is something else lined up I wouldn't mind.  But I'd absolutely love it if they took Sheed instead.  If he's this bad now, imagine what he'll be like in two years.

I'm gonna hold you to this.

P.S. Davis played better than Rasheed against Orlando. Just saying.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I think something to remember is that danny has set us up with trade value/contracts so IF NEEDED he can adjust our roster and still not have to move pierce, rondo or kg.  He brought ray is who has done a great job but also has that contract expiring which can help us on the free agent market or another team.  If we can upgrade ray then he'll be traded.  I still don't think davis has much value around the nba but i'm sick of him and 'sheed so either or both can move along

If Davis had more value, he would not have signed for the second year - just gamble on the restricted FA, worst case a raise, best case, a really big raise.

I think something will happen - but not sure exactly what.  I think it's about 20% Ray moves - but that is higher than i thought last week.

Obviously, none of us know what's really going to happen.  However, I think there's quite an argument for standing pat.  When this team was nearly completely healthy (minus Baby) they were clearly a contender.  Then Marquis went down, KG went down, Rondo missed a couple games, House got banged up, and then the latest Pierce incident.  I don't think there's any reason that any of those guys can't get back to the way they were 2 months ago.

If that's the case, what's the real need to make a deal?

i doubt he makes one trade. i have  feeling this is the team we will have for the duration and we will suffer from the same problems (age, injuries, lack of chemistry and not being able to put teams away) for the rest of the season and the playoffs. as much as it hurts to say, I don't think this team will do much in the playoffs and we will be making drastic changes over the offseason.
