I think he is just trying to needle C's fans with his latest comment.  Please note that he even says its purely hypothetical, and not based on any inside info.

Question for Celtics fans (and I am only posing this purely hypothetical question because I saw Rasheed's agent, Bill Strickland, chatting with Donnie Walsh at MSG the other night.) If you were Danny Ainge, would you trade Rasheed and Marquis Daniels to the Knicks for Nate Robinson, Jared Jeffries and Jordan Hill?

I mean, would any C's fan say no to that deal?  I know I wouldn't, and I am a Wallace apologist, and despise Robinson.

defiantly trying to stir it up a lot. No way the knicks take Wallace for those players.

How could you say yes to that deal?!

Terrible trade for us, we basically get robbed of our two best bench players to acquire a scoring PG...

Jared Jeffries is a complete stiff.  I would not trade for him under any circulstances. Not even for Scalabrine.

I agree, Hill doesn't help the team now and I really don't like what I've seen from him so far.

Hmmm, maybe I misjudged it.  I thought the fan base was down a lot more on Wallace than this.

I gotta say no to this one. While I do not know much about Jordan Hill, I do like Jeffries' game, but do not like Robinson's game. I also love Marquis Daniel's game. I think he is a perfect veteran fit for this team. We saw that before he got hurt. His versatility and lack of ego is not easily matched. I do not want to part with him. He's part of the answer, not the problem.

Just saw the same and gave him grief for it. I'm frustrated enough with Sheed that I just might tho...

The salaries are about $5M apart, I think.

How about if they gave you Wilson Chander to take him and you gave up only junk? Not likely, but worth asking.

Me either -- a big man who can't play a lick of defense and is a garbage man who doesn't score efficiently enough. Afraid of contact on both ends of the court. Good rebounder though.

Reminds me of Chris Wilcox ... without the offensive efficiency.

I wouldn't take that, forget about rasheed, how does this really improve our bench?

Nate can score for the second unit, but you certainly can't play him and eddie at the same time, EVER.

Jeffries and hill aren't defenders, are we promoting walker and calling him the backup 3 along with TA filling in?

I'm against it also.

I just don't like the idea of giving up our two best bench guys here.

Wilson Chandler instead of Jordan Hill would make it more interesting.

Swapping two rotation players (Sheed/Daniels) for two others (Nate/Chandler). Jeffries a decent non-rotation reserve. Worth considering.
