Just a random thought I had, so I made it a poll.

In the "Wing Bowl"?  (sorry, couldn't help myself)

But unfortunately, I have to disagree.  As much as I would have preferred watching Sweetney waddle around, and play in the post, Sweetney was abominable on defense in the preseason, and Sheed has spent the majority of the season between passable and good on defense (at least when they play him at Center, where he belongs).

Sheed is lazy plain and simple. He expends more energy arguing with the officials than he does trying to make plays. Several times yesterday on the fast break he was just walking up the court. 2 more years of this ungh.

For the next poll, if we'd signed Sweetney, would he be thinner than Davis by now?

I think Sweetney would be in the low box a lot more (as he should) and be a much more effective rebounder and have much fewer techs. However, Sheed has a more all-around offensive game (I would prefer him using his post game much more) and is a better defender and is in better shape (not that he is great shape to start with).

I agree.  But Sweetney is almost as lazy, but is significantly less talented, and would have had to drop about 40 pounds to be effective.

I think it is one thing to revisit the Sheed signing, but Sweetney was not the answer.
