If Wallace is in the deal, we don't get any value back for Ray.  This team is much better off sticking with Wallace (who is still a net positive in the games he is actually trying), and then trying to get actual value for Ray.

unlikely.  Boston isn't in a position of bargaining power.  If we're talking about Deng, Iggy or Martin... all 3 of those guys are better and younger than Ray right now.  The only reason any of those teams would possibly even CONSIDER trading their stars for Ray Allen is if they are looking for a total salary dump.   Asking them to take on Sheed's crappy contract isn't realistic. 

It'd be like if the Cavs called up Boston and said, "hey... we'll trade you LeBron for Pierce." and we responded, "ok, but you gotta give us some draft picks too".
