Seems he has privately stated he's tired of the losing in MN (as well as his entire career to date)...and seeing as how it is his contract that would be most able to bring in some help to change the direction of the team...he might be changing addresses at the deadline or this summer.

If you were D.A., would you try and add a proven young big man who can score seemingly at will in the post against almost anyone?  If he were actually available, would you be concerned about team chemistry by adding A.J.?  (did I mention he's a proven low post scorer?)

As much as I love Al, he is not what this team needs right now.

Not to be a weenie, but isn't most everyone in the league "unofficially available"?
Yup

Nothing to offer for Big Al anyway. Well, outside of Rajon Rondo.

The team desperatly needs interior defense and rebounding. The loss of Powe has been devastating. I dont think dealing for AJ is gonna improve us much.

Now, if they would trade Kevin Love for Perkins, then I would be listening.

Fair enough guys...

I agree that our most pressing need seems to be interior defense and rebounding as well as a demonstrable passion for the game and a heaping spoonful of hustle.  With that being said, who do you feel best personifies those attributes?

Some names that initially come to mind at the 4 / 5 spot  include Camby, Biedrins (sp?), Turiaf, and possibly a guy like Kirilenko at the 3 / 4.   Feel free to throw in a few names just to stir the pot...we can debate who might actually be obtainable a little later.

he might be available, but we've got nothing (in agreement with another poster here) with the exception of Rondo that they'd want (and they don't "need" him).

sorry, but big al is nothing more than a guy with nice low post moves, but can't play a lick of defense.

Sac said they would consider dealing Kevin Martin if a third team could provide a prolific big man. Maybe we found a third team? The only down side is trading Ray to the Wolves.

Never going to happen. I'd do it in a heartbeat and then try very hard to get Dalmbert/AI2 combo from Philly.

Having a rebounder like Love would completely transform our team.

And where would Jefferson play? Most importantly, who would we trade him for?

Ray for Jefferson? Then we have have a pf logjam with no SG...

i don't think we have anything big to offer that could be labeled "prolific"...  unless we can somehow convince Webster to change the definition to "fat guys who get shots blocked on a regular basis."

I mean that we could make a three way trade with SAC and MIN. Big Al would go to SAC.

Kevin Love for Perk would hurt us against the elite teams (such as LA).  Basically, Love would have trouble with the height of la.
