Sure, the Big 3 are older, sure we've had some injuries..but, the REAL reason we've been losing more than winning is because the Celtics Players are playing with a sense of ENTITLEMENT.

It started at the end of last season..The C's listened to everyone say-We would have won another ring had KG been healthy...Which I'm not sure was actually true...but it was an excuse...Pierce makes the statement after the Finals, That the "Rottweiler" wasn't there to play the Lakers (who beat the C's pretty easily in the regular season).

At the start of this season,Even Doc is on camera in the Locker room-telling his players, that we KNOW we're gonna win the Championship...The players have had that attitude all season--KNOWING we're the Best team, and not actually going out and playing the entire 48 minutes.

The 2007-2008 Team were VERY careful all year long...They never said they were the best, they just went out and played hard...and KILLED teams along the way.

I really think that this is what is wrong with this team...We've Blown way too many leads because of Mental Lapses, NOT lack of talent.

Sorry for going over the Bleeding Obvious.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
I think team attitude is definitely part of it.  We haven't heard a player use the word "ubuntu" in two seasons now.  The team unity in Year One was a big party of the Celts' success.

The LACK of Posey and Powe's attitudes really hurts...Somehow, Rasheed got used to losing in Detroit--he's just out there collecting a paycheck.

Also, the way things are currently going--if the C's don't adopt and "Us against the World" attitude quickly, Doc has a Real chance of losing this team----the finger pointing might get ugly-!!

I agree with you Maxwell, it seems that this team has a serious mental/attitude problem.

Rondo is the only guy bringing it every game and showing some toughness. Also, I don't like Perk these past few weeks, he doesn't look to me from a mental standpoint. Too much complaints and scowls (not the usual one :P), he seems to focus on himself and not on the team.

We miss a guy like Posey and his attitude. I hope that all these losses to contenders will give a wake up call to the team but so far it hasn't been enough to fix the mental lapses.

You know Doc, he'll just dismiss. Our coach is delusional. He babying these guys. You can only hope this loss is the wake up call.

How many losses have they had this year that the fans all hoped was a wake up call? Answer: Too many.

I agree about Doc Rivers babying the team, if he had any guts he should have benched the starters in the 4th quarter to send them a message.

Yeah, I couldn't believe what I was hearing---it's TRUE--but I never thought Doc would have the guts to say it.

I think Danny should hire Bobby Knight, for a few weeks, as a two week interim head coach.

Have him stir things up a bit

too bad he didn't call them out on it in the 3rd quarter before it really got out of hand.  might have actually made a difference when it mattered.

Yeah, he waited until Orlando came all the way back to tie it before he called a time out...Gotta recognize it Doc!

i agree 100%. their attitude this year sucks. I hate to blame it all on one guy, but......it's Rasheed!

but really he's just the scapegoat, a team wins and loses as a whole and right now the whole team is under-acheiving.  They need a shake-up. They can't get rid of Rasheed, but would playing Scal ahead of him help?

yeah right, like that would ever happen..but i'd much rather see Scal out there trying (like in last years playoffs) then someone like Rasheed out there loafing. Win or lose, at least you could cheer for the effort.
