Yeah, I know, this loss is disheartening, frustrating, etc, but you can't deny that the bench played really, really well in this game.

They extended the lead in the 2nd and played with a lot of energy, Marquis was huge, House made shots, Baby got in a good groove too.

Even in the 4th they played pretty well, although Baby got blocked a lot of times. They attacked the basket and tried to draw fouls, a thing that the starters didn't do in the 3rd and hence made us lose the game.

It's clear that the starters lost the game in the 3rd but the 2nd unit played very well so it's good to see, here's hoping for the start of some continuity with the 2nd unit now that Marquis is back!

It was nice to see the increased fluidity to the bench's play with Marquis Daniels back in the lineup. Everyone seems to play better when he's around.

Agreed, but this 10 man rotation is bugging me. But who do you rule out?
Tony-playing great
Eddie-instant offense
Sheed-can be extra productive
Baby-maybee our best bench player
Daniels-a great scorer and defends 3 positions
Scal and Williams and Walker sometimes get minutes so we have a 10-12 man rotation and that doesn't work
LOL we always talk about getting a deep bench, and now it's too deep and it's a problem IMO
what doesn't kill you makes you stronger

Not a big fan of the "all bench" lineup.

They, for the most part, played better with Daniels out there.

Ten man rotation bugs me too -- I think either House or TA should be dropped. I think TA is the better short term decision (since he's outplaying House by a large margin for quite some time now) but I reckon House the better long term decision because I think the Celtics need a perimeter player who can hit a jump shot come playoff time. I'd stick with House and drop TA. Go with a nine man rotation.

Me either. I'd rather not see that again. Unless it's a blowout.

You can use all 10 guys.  Just not as much together.

Use the roll player when the Celtics need that roll filled.

I like the Rasheed,Baby,Tony,Marquis,House bench lineup. I am hesitant to make a judgement on the limited results of one game. The early results look good give it some more time its only Marquis first game back.

We have seen seasons of playing all or mostly all bench.  It is a rare thing it works out well for the Celtics.

The bench was disappointing in the 2nd half.  House was burned consecutively by Jason Williams.  Sheed was inaccurate and slow.  Baby played with good energy but couldn't finish looks inside and got burned by the Magic's long-range big men.  Daniels and TA hustled but stayed invisible mostly.

It's still an inaccurate, perimeter oriented line-up with no go-to weapon, weak rebounding and major quickness deficiencies defensively.

Loved seeing Marquis go to work in the 1st half though.  His defense on Vince Carter was excellent.

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari

Its a different group of players. You gonna sit House in favor of 60% of Quisy?  Managing rotations has never been a strength of Doc so hopefully things will fall into place.
