- None of the C's bigs can play above the rim. Lazy ass Rasheed just sits out at the 3 line.
_ KG is never going to be the same. He can't play the pick and roll or man to man d against quicker players.
- Ray and Paul are going to have dead legs by the time the playoffs roll around.

C's need to add some young athletic players quick if they are going to have any chance to compete against Atlanta or Orlando.

If we get Charlotte in the 1st round, I'm not so sure we even get that far.  We've got a better chance against Chicago or Miami, though.  If Toronto gets hot, they could be tough, too, but a Charlotte series makes me VERY nervous.

The Celtics make me more nervous than the Bobcats do. Danny needs to shake things up.

Trading Ray Baby and Scal for Iggy and Dalembert is the answer.

We need length and athleticism off the bench down low. We need defense, youth, and depth all around... This would address our issues and set us up for a better future as well.

Right now I'd be happy if this team took the Hawks or the Magic to 7 games in the 2nd round.

Heck, I'd take 6 games.

These struggles have nothing to do with age.

Right now, the team is simply too lazy to do the work necessary to do win games against good teams. Maybe we can build off the the 27 to 17 run over the last eight minutes to lose by only 7 points to a VASTLY SUPERIOR Orlando Magic team.

Yes it does. KG has played 40000+ mins in his career. He isn't going to be close to KG of even 2 years ago. At this point he is a glorified role player.

Sheed refuses to play under the basket he is basically Antoine walker of a few years ago.

Hence why if this Ray for Hinrich and Tyrus Thomas deal is legit, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

No, it doesn't.

Do you think it makes sense that an "aging team" suddenly gets worse and plays poorly after halftime, when they get a lot of rest for the upcoming 24 minutes?

Had the Celtics run out of gas in the 4th everytime, I would have understand, but they suddenly suck in the 3rd, when their legs should be fresh and good to go since the vets have rested them at halftime.

Not me.  Thomas is a major disappointment (despite being athletic), and Hinrich is more of a good bench player than a starting SG.

I'm not sure how a downgrade at SG, and a marginal at best upgrade at third string PF (Thomas over BBD) makes us better.

It's hard to explain the 3rd quarter collapses.  I have to think it's simply a matter of not being able to adapt when the opposing defense adjusts.

What we saw in this game is the Celtics did all the right things in the 2nd quarter, then started doing all the wrong things in the 3rd.  It's like Doc said, they changed their game plan halfway through the third quarter.

Now, either they just decided to stop playing good team basketball, or the Magic clamped down and the Celtics couldn't figure out a different way to do things.  I'm gonna give the Celtics some credit and assume it's the latter.

Alot of times, new blood just reignites a team.  Maybe start Tony at SG and have Hinrich stay as a true backup pg, which moves Daniels into being more of a true backup for Pierce.

I know that Thomas has been a disappointment so far in the league.  But I'm hoping that KG and Perk can slap some sense into him and maybe a new team defensive scheme can do him some good.

I need John Salmons included in that deal. I don't think a Hinrich + Thomas package is good enough to upgrade the Celtics.

If Kirk was going to be the starting point guard and play 35 minutes a night and Thomas 30 minutes a night as a starter, I'd definitely make that trade. But for the roles they'll be filling? And the playing time they'll be getting? It's not enough. I need John Salmons to be included to make it worthwhile.

Include Salmons in there, and I definitely do it.

New Lineup: RR, Salmons, PP, KG, Perk

Bench: Hinrich, TA/Marquis, Marquis/Thomas, Thomas/BBD, Sheed/BBD

House as shooting Specialist (11th man, no higher).

People dump on Salmons here like he is garbage, but he plays excellent D (leads team in steals) and is 3rd in points.
That will be more than made up for by the fire and competence Hinrich brings as backup point (unlike the inadequacies of EH).

Ty Thomas wild card, maybe something good or could be Stromile Swift.

Too many ++++++ not to do it. Do it Danny.
