I've been on board about the possible Monta for Ray trade, but for some reason this morning after watching DVR game I recorded (GSW vs. OKC) I now have an epiphany. This trade will not help the C's the way most of us are believing it would.

The Break Down:

Monta = Needs ball to be effective, Plays as scoring point guard (although he's listed as shooting guard), takes a ton shots, is not a set shooter, can't defend, can create his own shots, and needs a ton of minutes.

with all that said... Monta with a line up of Pierce and Rondo will not work. Rondo needs the ball to create for others and be effective, Pierce doesn't need but requires it in close important games. All 3 guys would :-X each other out, and UNBUNTU would go with it...lol

I see this trade working only if Monta is packaged with Raja Bell. Raja Bell will then start in replacement for Ray, and Monta Ellis will come off the bench. The bench will now have the player they desperately need a "Combo Guard"/ "Head Case".

This trade still doesn't work in the C's favor because the value of Ray for a bench player in Monta (on the C's) isn't worth trading a legend/HOF at all.

Bottom Line Don't Trade RAY To Golden State!!!  >:(

We have enough effective scorers, defense wins championships.

Yeah, but you also have to take into consideration that he's not healthy. I LOVE Randolph's athleticism, but I think we can get more out of Glen Davis in the long run. Davis is improving his defense, is very tough, and he kills those who guard him with his mid-range jumper.

The only player I'd really want badly from GS that they're willing to move is Maggette. Even then he has such an ugly game and attitude....

*sigh*

Kevin Martin/Luol Deng or bust!

Love Randolph. Great upside, but he's likely out for the year.

Woah, you think Glen Davis is a better prospect than Randolph?  Wow.  I think Randoph is far better already, with way more room for improvement.

Randolf along with Raja Bell and Julian Wright top the list on players coveted by this blog but that never play or are hurt.

Yeah, I get that reaction a lot. I know everyone will disagree, but Davis and Perkins are two f the most underrated players in the league, along WITH Randolph.

I like your Davis enthusiasm.  I wish I felt the same!

Yeah it's a killer rooting for a player who even when he's not playing well plays hard.
