What Celtic has a post-up game?

Started posting this in the thread that was discussing Perk wanting more touches, which got me thinking about who we have that can play inside.  A player doesn't need to be a "big" to post-up, so that opens it up.  I'm thinking about a low-post game, not the mid-post crap Paul pulls to avoid having to battle for position (though he does well there, as he does anywhere else on the floor).

Off the top of my head, we've got other guys that have a post-up game if we want to change it up once in a while.

KG and Sheed, of course, though they both tend toward tossing in a turnaround baseline fadeaway--drawing no fouls.

I hear that Pierce kid is pretty good...

Tony Allen (only one play that I noticed against Miami, but his quickness really is something on the box)

I'm not impressed with BBD or Shelden down there.  They still need to work on it.

Perk has improved, but we seem to be going to him as a first option a lot more, which I don't think helps.  He takes so long to make a move that he should be called for 3 seconds every time...

You know, when I was typing how KG and Sheed shoot fadeaways in the post drawing no fouls, Powe was the first thing I though of.  Drawing fouls makes a big difference...

I was originally thinking of players we actually have on the team...and ran out of names pretty quick.  If Doc had any clue about matchups, we have guys that could to do some damage down there, but...

I really think Doc tries to focus on just "doing what we do," and doesn't want to change anything from one game to the next, matchups to our advantage be [dang]ed.  I get that in 2008 when we were better than most teams at almost every position every night, but it's different now.

Sheed actually has a pretty good post up game, he just doesn't use it very often.

Leon Powe did not have a post game, he had the ability to get an offensive rebound and draw a foul. That is different fro a post game.

I can't think of a single post move that Powe had. He was more like Shelden. Get boards or passes, and then go hard to the hoop. Of course, he was a much better finisher than Shelden.

I like Sheed's post moves the best. KG has the nice fade away, but he seems to labor so much in his post moves and travels way too much (though the refs often let it go). Perk has the beginnings of a quality post up game as his footwork improves every season.

Does throwing your arms into the defender count as a post move?

KG and Rasheed's post up moves aren't that much different than what Parish used to do.  And no one complained about him.  Though I agree that neither of them is Kevin McHale.

At least Perk can manage to actually get a shot off now and then, unlike his first three years in the league when he just got blocked every time.
