Here's the deal:

Atlanta is worried Johnson will split, no matter what they offer him. So:

Boston trades Ray, Scal, Davis
Gets Johnson, Dalembert

Pilly trades Iggy, Dalembert
Gets Ray, Baby

ATL trades Johsnon
Gets Iggy, Scal

Obviously we try to get rid of Sheed instead of Baby if Philly is that desperate make a deal or if ATL wants him (just for the purposes of cutting some of Boston's payroll next year).

But this accomplishes:
1. Significant Ray upgrade and youngification (we'd do an extend and trade or have a serious committment from Johnson), replaces all his offense and major defense upgrade.

2. ATL locks up a new 2/3 at sub-Johnson asking price salary amount, stays young and athletic

3. Philly sheds a lot of guaranteed money.

C's go:

Rondo/Eddie
Johnson/TA
Pierce/TA
KG/Sheed
Perk/Dalembert

as the playoff 9-man rotation.

If the Hawks are worried about paying Johnson (the reason this trade was brought up) there is no way they would take on Iggy's contract.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

they're not worried about paying Johnson. The rumor is Johnson will leave ATL even if they offer a max deal because he wants to play elsewhere. He makes almost 15 million this year and is due for a raise on his next contract; iggy is locked up for about 12-15 million for the next 4 years and can't walk away if he doesn't like atlanta.

Here is a trade that would work and actually makes some sense.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yh9sdar

Boston trade

Ray Allen
Scals

Boston gets
Joe Johnson
Jason Kapono

Atl trades

JJ

ATL gets

AI
Scal

Philly trade

AI
Kapono

Philly gets

Ray Allen

This makes since for all teams involved. i guess this would be contingent on a Joe Johnson extension
