sporcle.com quiz - I got 43 of the champions right. A lot of the ones I got wrong I was like "ahhh, I KNOW they won it this decade, I just don't know what year!"

See how you do!

Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

That link sent us to the results!
However, I have taken that quiz in the past (I have a sporcle account).
I got a 58/63, 92% when I took it on December 18th.

i didn't take the test, but I checked out the "results" link you sent.

It seems weird to me that 42,000+ people took the test and only 42% of them guessed that the Lakers won the title in 2009.  Huh?

Must mean that a lot of folks still think the Celtics are defending champs.  Rightfully so since KG never defended his title.

I got 59 out of 63. I couldn't figure out 1951, 1955, 1956, or 1967. Those were just a little before my time I guess.

On sporcle the quiz creator can update the quiz at any time... I think the 58% of people who did not know that the Lakers won in 2009 didn't know because that question wasn't there when they had taken the test.

Got em all, but to be fair I guessed on the last 4.  Luckily every oldschool team that won also was on the runnerup list, so I kept typing in all their names til one registered.  The only exception was Rochester, but being from NNY I knew they'd won one.

A friend and I used to do this in class on a piece of paper. Starting with the latest year, we'd take turns listing the champs going back year by year. Sadly I couldn't go much further than the 90s  :-\

You got 61 out of 63 NBA Championship Winners.

I missed 1948 and 1955.

I did guess on a lot of the ones in the 70s/50s/40s though. The 60s is pretty easy to remember  ;D

I missed 1948.  Didn't know that Washington was called the bullets back then.

They were called bullets up until 1996, then they changed it to wizards because ownership felt their former name might send out a wrong message...
rather ironic considering the recent incident with gilbert arenas...

I remember when the wizards were the bullets.  I was thinking that back then the wizards were still in chicago (i think the stags and zephyrs turned into the bullets/wizards).  turns out the team that won in 48 was also called the bullets, but they folded a decade before the wizards we know today were ever in existence.
