#1.  Ray Allen to Sacramento for Kevin Martin and two of their three HORRENDOUS contracts (Noccioni, Garcia, Udrih).

This trade gives the Kings plenty of cap room.  It would actually be quite the economic bailout, in my opinion.  They could go out and sign a superstar or two to go with their three core players of the future (Spencer Hawes, Jason Thompson, and Tyreke Evans).

As far as the C's are concerned, it gives them a younger Ray Allen who will be under contract for a while.

#2.  Ray Allen to Detroit for Richard Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince.

Detroit is 7 games out of the 8th seed right now and they just spent a lot of dough on Gordon and Villanueva this past season to play the 2 and the 3.  Which isn't that smart since the have two other guys on their roster signed to long term deals that also happen to play the 2 and the 3 (Hamilton and Prince).  So this is basically a HUGE bailout for them, especially with Hamilton due to come off the books at age 35.

This trade gives the C's plenty of depth with a younger Ray (Hamilton) and  a tremendous perimeter defender who can back-up Pierce as well as fill out the rotation if the C's go big and Pierce plays SG.  Both players will be locked up for a while and it would fill the gap of Marquis Daniels if he leaves for a more lucrative deal in the off-season.

#3.  Keep Ray and trade BBD, Bill Walker, Tony Allen, and Scal to the Clippers for Marcus Camby.

Now I hope the Clips could get more for Camby, but giving them BBD and Bill Walker for a few years is the best we could do.  This one is kind of a pipe dream, but maybe the Clips can't do any better.

I'm not sure #3 works because of BBD's status as a BYC player.

I like #1 so long as it doesn't include Garcia.

I've lost count of how many times #1 & #2 have been posted on this site as each persons trade idea. #3 is one i haven't seen, but i'm not sure it works money wise.

I should say though, i do like the idea of bringing in kevin martin, not a huge fan of rip and prince, just because their going to be on their way out in a few years too.

This is how i would rank the circling trade ideas:

1. Andre Iguadala (as posted on the home page)
2. Kevin Martin & Noccioni
3. The rumored trade with Chicago

(also, if the dwayne wade idea was even slightly possible (don't know who posted it) i'd put it number one. but well, its not.)

Kevin Martin is too injury prone for me, and his contract last another 4 years. His injury history is not appealing at all.

I'd rather have an expiring healthy Ray

#1.  Ray Allen to Sacramento for Kevin Martin and two of their three HORRENDOUS contracts (Noccioni, Garcia, Udrih).

Are all those contracts equally horrendous?

This deal (assuming the Kings would somehow agree) is all about the money: will it be a problem in the near future? The point of the deal is to keep the team contending for a title in the next 2 seasons assuming Pierce/KG's game don't decline abruptly. But for that you probably need to spend more money in the next 2 years: use the MLE to sign a 3rd big and phase out Wallace off the rotation; move Davis in a trade for a better, more expensive player, etc. If Ainge can keep spending as necessary to keep the team competitive, than this is a good deal.

#2.  Ray Allen to Detroit for Richard Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince.

I'd be extremely worried about Prince's health/premature ageing and Hamilton's form/ageing. I don't know, I'd need more info to decide on this one. With my current limited knowledge, I'd probably not risk it.

Yeah, that's a pipedream. Plus, the Clippers would need to fire 3 guys to complete this trade if they weren't sending them to Boston, so it'd probably be something like Camby+Davis+Telfair+Skinner.

#1 I think could go either way. It's good because we get a good young sg. It's bad because he's injury prone

#2 I don't see the point of trading an aging superstar for an aging star and unhealthy glue player

#3 We need backcourt help not frontcourt help

OK, everybody man up and admit it!  One bad stretch and we were breaking up the team.

Great game tonight-looked like the real green and white.

Do we like our chances with this team being healthy and the ball moving like tonight?  If the ball moves, we can go to the Finals.  Changes will come in the offseason.

Kevin Martin is more injury prone than Allen. Ray has played every game and been a hustling workhorse.

Hamilton and Prince are also aging and injured. Not what we need.

The only Ray Allen trade would have to include SG who could conceivably start for a long time and still contend for a championship, including this year.

That means Monta Ellis or Andre Iguodala.

I agree with your post for the most part but, can someone explain to me where the thought of AI being available came from?  It makes little sense.
