Houston Rockets

Aaron Brooks/Mike Bibby
Derozen/salmons
Magette/Salmons
Millsap/Yi/Oberto
Okafor/Wallace

Defintelythink this team is a contendor and much improved from where I started.

A contender for what?

The starting lineup is ok, but that bench needs attention.

Millsap and Okafor compliment each other well.  Make for a oretty good defensive pairing.  I like Brooks at the PG.  DeRozan is still unknown, but has shown promise.  Maggette is a good offensive talent.

Not the worst team

The title.  We have two 20 point scorers.  One of the deepest front lines in the game.  A good backup PG and 6th man of the year John Salmons
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

I don't really see that at all. I believe in DeRozen as a future low level star, and I like Aaron Brooks well enough, but having Yi or Oberto as your primary backup 4's is very far from solid for me, and although I like Wallace, we know how inconsistent he is.

I like Millsap too..I like a lot of your team, but contender? I don't see it.

I would a 7footer who averages 14 and 7 is a solid backup at the 4.  Admit it, you are holding a bias against him because of his chair workouts.

Yea...but you don't have an established go to guy, nor anything like a lock down defensive front.

I think You'll score alot, but let up alot.

Your a playoff team, but i think of this team more as an Atlanta style squad. Very talented, but lacking he top end talent to get deep into the playoffs.

I dont think Brooks scores efficiently enough to truely classify him as a 20ppg scorer.

He's pretty much a 1 point for every shot kinda PG.  A ratio of 1:1 is not good

I remember him lighting up the Lakers in the playoffs last year and taking them to game 7 without Yao.  I would classify him as a 20 ppg scorer.

lol, well that doesn't help.

Mostly I don't like Yi because I have been watching him this year and following his stat lines.

Kris Humphries would be starting if the Nets weren't trying so hard to look like Yi wasn't a total bust. Yi plays terrible defense and while his averages might compare favorably with guys like say Nene...his pp48 and his rp48 aren't on the same level as those guys.

Millsap is a beast, but he's not good defensively. Don't get me wrong, he's a worker. Super aggressive...but he's 6'8 and that's hard to compensate for.

Maggette is a good scorer, but ask yourself this: Do you see Maggette scoring 20ppg for a contending team?

He lit them up in one game......perhaps 2.

Stats for that series were ok-good.

Game 1: 7/14 19pts 2 assist
     2: 5/15 13pts 2 ass
     3: 3/8 7pts 1 ass
     4: 12/20 34pts 4 ass
     5: 4/11 14pts 2 ass
     6: 8/13 26pts 4 ass
     7: 4/13 13pts 3 ass

As i stated before, a good scoring PG, but far from a true 20ppg scorer.

But thats ok.  My only gripe is that he is more of scorer (albeit inefficient) than a facilitator.  Less than 5 assists per game for a starting PG averaging around 36mpg isnt great.

Rasheed Wallace is with the Utah Jazz if my memory serves.

Prepared to get skewered for that statement

All I said is I thought my team could win 50 games and got somewhat hammered

I didn't even say I was a contender, though I know my team isn't

Heck, just my opinion take that with a grain of salt, but I don't think your team could get past the my Knicks in a 7 game series, never mind the Utah or LA teams that have been built out west, and again I KNOW my team isn't a contender
