Heck Shelden's tweet could just be a shorter term injury, not the worst case scenario. If Paul/KG/etc. told him he was going to miss a week or two the tweet makes sense.

Sadly a season ending injury would also fit the context.

I want to believe this, but the tone of the tweet is extremely ominous. I think the Celtics are not going to be too happy with Shelden if it is related to Pierce's foot.

I'm not sure Shelden Williams put much thought about the essence of his words. He probably found that this was consistent with his general feeling of "THIS SUCKS!" Hopefully Pierce is healthy but you can't help but create the possibilities, one of which is Pierce with a broken foot considering that these two things are coinciding with one another.

I want to believe this, but the tone of the tweet is extremely ominous. I think the Celtics are not going to be too happy with Shelden if it is related to Pierce's foot.

You don't think it would be ominous if KG's knee is acting up again, and they are going to shut him down some more?

I am just saying it is early to assume that Pierce has a broken foot.  But I am not saying I don't think it could be very bad news.
