would love it but we have nothing they would want, they will already be able to offer a max contract next year so they aren't looking to dump salary and we have no young pieces they would want

He would be great, but it is tough to find a deal that makes sense for both teams with him. 

The one deal that I think makes any sense would be if Washington would give up Butler and Miller for Ray, then we sent Butler to LA for Camby (and maybe Thornton could be used as motivation for Washington to make that deal).  So Boston gives up Ray, and gets Miller (a decent Ray replacement), and Camby (who would go a long way to improve the team rebounding).  LA gets a very good SF, giving them a hell of a potential starting lineup next year with Davis, Gordon, Butler, Griffin, and Kaman.  And Washington gets money off the books, and a young SF to replace Butler.

Great defensive player with the Knicks. Wildly overrated since then. Still an excellent rebounder though.
