Perk is not on the same planet as Amare.

Perk is not on the same planet as Amare.
Perk lives on planet defense, while Amare lives on planet offense.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I am sure Amare would come along just fine and KG could teach him how to play D. If we had a team of Rondo running with J-rich and Amare we would be scary.

i honestly believe that if the celtics take back nocioni that the kings would give up martin.

i agree and i think this would be one of 3 good moves to make this deadline.

martin slides into the starting 2. offensively a great fit, defensively...?

nocioni will give you productive minutes at the 3 and guarding quick 4's. he represents a huge upgrade for the bench on both sides of the ball.

the other 2 deals?
i'd love to see us swing a deal with GS that lands us maggette and randolph.
GS would REALLY, REALLY want to loose maggette's contract to do this.

allen for hinrich and miller? thomas? not so sold on this one. but if we could get hinrich without giving up ray i'd be stoked!

Amare isn't a center on any team except the Suns. If we made this trade I think Rasheed would be our starting center and either Amare or KG becomes the 6th man. As odd as it seems, I could see KG bringing energy off the bench and putting Amare under his wing to learn a thing or two about intensity.

Moving forward, we'd be hurting at the 5, though...

Perk is not on the same planet as Amare.

your right perk is on a planet light years ahead of Amare if your interested in winning a championship

So we would've lost in 08 with Amare instead of Perk? I disagree.

for one perk is a completely different player now and i also believe that amare has gone downhill plus hes a microfracture guy which scares the hell out of me and his eye may pop out of his eye socket at any moment..

I think Perk was a better fit then and now

I wouldn't mind looking into some package getting Rudy Gay.   I don't think Memphis is going to be able to afford him in the offseason.

The ONLY trade that will work with us bringing in five of their player would be one involving Zach Randolph and Gay for Allen.  Clearly, we would have to throw in a first rounder or two for them to consider this, unless of course we get a favor from our former GM Chris Wallace:-)))

We would spend ourselves into oblivion trying to keep both of them, but we would probably win several more World Championships.

Roy and Jeff,

Can this work financially?  I realize that Memphis would likely not consider this, but you never know.  Nice idea about Gay JBcat!!  It just looks to be impossible for us to do this without a third of fourth team unfortunately.

why would the suns trade away a big chunk of their starting 5 when they're playing some decent ball in the west? i understand them wanting to trade away amare, but i doubt they give up anyone else that's a major piece of their team.

An Allen for Gay and Randolph trade would work just fine financially...the problem is that Memphis is looking to get a veteran player to help them in their playoff push this year, not trade away their keys to success.

S.U.M.,

I understand that completely.  It was a pipe dream:-)) Can anyone come up with a 3 or 4 team trade that would help us unload Allen and pick up Gay??

So, if accurate, the purpose here is to save money.  I'm thrilled.

Yea, really.

I'm not opposed to moving ray allen, but considering we'll be over the hard cap regardless, it better be for a high pick or a 2 gaurd that's ready to contribute to a contender.

It's not for saving money, it's for upgrading defensively AND acquiring rotation guys for the future.
