Ginobli and RJ for Ray and BBD

The Spurs have been looking for size(BBD is fat enough to fill the gap in the post) and Ray could help provide the vet shooter(Finley is hurt) and cap relief for their RJ Project bust.
I really feel that RJ hasn't fit in right b/c their system. Tony is more of a slashing scoring PG now(as Rondo loves to pass like Kidd) And as much as I like Coach Pop, I think they focus too much on defense. Our team should focus more, and I think our old squad could do it if they had a reliable star(or 2) coming off the bench to relieve the load.
Put Ginobli and RJ on the bench and let Tony start. Tony focuses on slashing and defending the best player for 8-10 minutes at a time, then bring in Ginobli and RJ to light up the score board. I'm sure that by now San Antonio and Steve Kerr know that they can no longer win it with their 3 man core plus role players, and Ginobli(as is Ray) is the most expendable.
Can't stop, Rondo!

This makes no sense whatsoever for San Antonio.

None.

Unless they're convinced they have no chance of winning and just want to save some money.

Ray apparently can't shoot that well anymore and certainly doesn't drive or play defense like Ginobili still can, old as he is.

BBD is like a terrible version of DeJuan Blair.

Steve Kerr's with the Spurs?

The Spurs are playing excellent ball since their early season slump.  Ginobli's finally healthy.  I don't think they want to move anybody at this point.  Although I'm sure they wish they'd kept their trade assets for someone better than RJ.

Yeah, Steve Kerr is the GM of the Suns.

Sorry but this is a horrible trade for Spurs. Not only do they lose one of their big3, but also trade their big off-season acquisition. Spurs could say yes to this if they are mailing the season in. Even then they are very loyal to their stars (Manu Ginobli).

I actually think San Antonio might do it for a shot of energy and to get Jefferson out of the way to speed up rebuilding. Maybe you guys haven't been watching but (a) the Spurs aren't that good at all and haven't even faced the tough part of their schedule yet, (b) Manu Ginobli is far more done than Ray and gone after this season and (c) Richard Jefferson sucks or at least has been an absolute bust in San Antonio.

But there's no reason for the Celtics to do it for reasons (b) and (c) above. We actually would have less of a chance than we already do this year if we make this trade, and it sure doesn't help us long term.

The other thing - on the Spurs side, they really have no need for Davis. Blair is already a better player, and cheaper. No need for another relatively undersized power forward, particularly one who can't rebound or finish nearly as well as the one they already have.
Go Celtics.

This makes no sense for San Antonio.  They will be in the playoffs this season & RJ was a big part of their off-season moves.

We need something more realistic.

They will be in the playoffs going nowhere. And RJ was a big failure in their offseason moves. The reasons SA wouldn't do it are (a) Big Baby has no trade value and is meaningless for the Spurs and (b) they're loyal to everything Ginobli's given them over the past decade. Because the on court performance of those guys has been weak. San Antonio is in playoff contention ONLY because Tim Duncan is having a monster season. They won't have homecourt in the first round and will be lucky to make round two. LA, Denver, Dallas, Utah, and Portland are superior teams just in the West.
Go Celtics.
