We have to accept the facts that we are not the same team we were in 2007. We have to admit to this. Repent to the celtics gods that we were overly hopeful and blind that we had a chance to get out of the east let alone win it all this year.

So if we all accept this, the fans, ownership, Ainge we have to make a trade before the deadline. (to maybe salvage any hope at all to win)

Ray Allen for Ellis would have been a steal. We need a guy who can create his own shot anytime and anywhere. I wouldn't even mind a guy like Zach Randolph who at least can score. (no joke)

DAnny has to be actively trying to trade Ray Allen and his golden last year 18 million dollar contract.

We know we have no one who can guard Wade, Crawford, and Johnson. At the very minimum, Danny needs to address this. A backup pg would be nice too.

I don't know if trading Ray is the solution but an upgrade on the bench definitely is

This bench is just giving leads and games away with their late 1st quarter early 2nd quarter and late third quarter early fourth quarter play

They have for most of the year

And the result is longer minutes for the starters because they have to come in to keep the game close

Doc's substitution patterns don't help, if the bench isn't going to change, Doc has to
Pick 2 Knicks

PG: George Hill, Ty Lawson
SG: Ray Allen, Anthony Parker, Quentin Richardson
SF: Grant Hill, Matt Barnes, D
PF: Zach Randolph, Kenyon Martin, Jon Brockman, Dante Cunningham
C:  Nene Hilario,   Own rights: Nikola Pekovic IR: Kyle Weaver

Seriously, did you watch the game? Joe Johnson was something like 1/13 for 3 quarters and got his only made shot on a dunk. Ray was defending him during that stretch and Joe couldn't hit a shot.

Then TA defended him and he got hot in the 4th. TA did a good job though. And finally, TA, Ray and Paul couldn't do anything to stop him in the 4th. All his shots were tough and contested, and he hit them anyway. It was not a defensive problem, the guy just made unbelievable shots.

  • Rondo = Good
To be fair, not many people in the league can really "guard" Dwyane Wade, Joe Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Brandon Roy...etc etc
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

6-10 in the last 16 games -- not the stuff of which champions are made, that's for sure.

A trade to fix the holes on the bench. Celtics need a Jamal Crawford off the bench. Starters played well. Big3 will be fine as long as Doc limits their minutes. We need a scoring wing off the bench. And a true Point Guard so Rondo gets his breaks. I have never seen Big3 play lackadaisical. They give 100% but other guys like Sheed tend to rub their laziness on the rest off the team.

Why didn't we get Crawford? ???

 :P

If it was just one game, I might buy it. But I've seen this for 4 games against the Hawks. The Cs can't guard Johnson and Crawford.

Why didn't we get Crawford? ???

Because he didn't fit in with the C's "best defensive team ever" plan.  ::)
