This team will not win a Championship

The fire is gone. KG is not KG anymore. Pierce and Allen are too inconsistent and Rasheed is....Rasheed. He is overweight and shoots too many 3's.

Rondo cannot hit a jumper or consistently make FT's. Stat from last night says he still shoots less than 60 percent.

Daniels is injured and BBD is still playing like a rookie, not the BBD from last year's playoffs.

There is something missing from this team. I just don't think they are hungry anymore.

This team has lost at least a half dozen games that the 2007-08 team would not have lost and are on pace to have thw worst record of the Big 3 era.

It is very disturbing. I also think Doc is very frustrated. Last night is a micro-chasm of the season.

  Rondo's doing pretty well on his jumpers. And the worst record in the big three era isn't that bad when they've won 66 and 62 games. Oh, and we can still win the title.

It's only late January.  Still almost a half season to play. That's a lot of basketball and variables to be played out.  Its almost a given that what we see now won't resemble what we're seeing from this team in mid-late April.  Could get worse, could get better but things aren't going to remain stagnant for the next 3 months.

People need to stop trying to compare this team to the '07-08 team.  That was two years ago and numerous differences ago.  If you're waiting around for this team to recreate the '07-08 magic, you'll go crazy.  This team has its own separate identity and style and people need to start realizing it.

meh...it is only january...orlando was a 3 seed last year and ended up in the finals....i think seeding doesn't matter to boston....win the division and you are at least a 3 seed. now the Ft shooting needs to improve as well as the rebounding....i also have noticed the defense slipping...esp last night in the 4th quarter where boston couldnt get stops...but the playoff are their own season

Well, I think whoever started this thread was probably saying 'as things are currently constructed' we will not win a championship. You know what, he/she is right! Sure, Lebron and Kobe could get injured and for that matter, several team planes could crash eliminating most of our competition. There are a million variables that come into play. One thing is for certain though, if we play like last night and other teams play as they have been playing, we will not win the title this year and you are fooling yourself if you think otherwise.

I am not trying to be a pessimist, just a realist. Now, if KG gets healthy and the rest of the gang then anything is possible. And, I do think that will happen.

"Realsim" is always the veil that pessimists hide behind. That being said if KG plays like an old man the rest of the season we won't win. However, because I'm an optimist I think he will play the ball I know he is capable of.
