We have one of the, if not the best, road record in the NBA. We can win on the road come play off time. Now sure, I would love home court as much as the next person but not at the risk of blowing the championship.

I would rather be a #8 seed with a healthy Garnett. I don't get into the mix much about his knee or the way the organization covers it up. If KG is having trouble it is still very early. Sit his a** out for days, weeks, or even months.

I dont know if he is hurting or not. No one really knows. If he is though let's not make it worse :(

If KG's injury could get worse by playing, I agree.

If the risk is no different then if he was fully healthy, I have no issue watching him play back into game shape.

I think KG lacks conditioning. He will get it by playing so let him play, and get back in game shape.

If KG's knee was really still subject to likely injury would Rondo have thrown him two alley ooop passes like he did last night? This is big business with millions and millions at stake. If you had gone to your mechanic and he told you that driving your Ferrari over 70 might detroy the motor would you be driving that fast? I dont think the team doctors would have KG in there if it was felt he would be very likely to reinjure the knee. Sure, Rondo might have thrown KG one alley oop pass mistakenly, although I even doubt that, he surely woudnt have done it twice. After all, that was the same play he injured it on originally.

This looks like the same thing KG went through at the beginning of the year.  He started out just like this and within 3 weeks or so he looked pretty good.  Lets hope the same thing happens and that he doesn't have another setback.

I think its pretty clear that if rest would help his injury, they'd sit him down. (they just sat him for a month!)

KG has looked like an absolute dinosaur lately.  The only thing working for him is his presence, people still fear him.  His actual defense has not been that great.  Two years ago, theres no way Rashard Lewis even makes it around him, and if he does, that weak lay up gets slapped off the backboard.  He got absolutely frozen on that last play.  It's like that legs sliding on the ground and his foots dragging.

Yep.  He's better if he plays and works out the kinks like at the beginning of the year.  The back to backs are going to be bad for him though, it seems.

Bad for him physically or just bad for his play in that particular game?

If it is the second, play him so he will be better prepared later this season.

Can we not treat one game like it's an extended period of time?  "KG has looked like an absolute dinosaur lately" implies that he's sucked for more than just the second half of one game, which is just false.

It probably stiffened up on him in the locker room at halftime.  Until we see the extended period of dinosaurhood that you're referring to here, it's not anything to worry about.

Yeah, I think it's going to be bad for his knee.  His knee is not going to be recovered from the first game in terms of soreness and most importantly inflammation, and then he's going to be sent out again before he's recovered from game 1.  I think its ok to play big minutes and play hard, but I think his recovery afterword is the most important thing.

How well do you think his old body will recover from that injury on that leg thats been lingering?  How many minutes has he logged in his career?

I agree with most of what has been said. I also think that the white knee brace makes him look like he's moving less freely than he really is (if you know what I'm talking about).
