I think the C's should. They match up perfectly with the Magic. Perk and Sheed shut down Howard, Kg can stick with Lewis . Our  wings are superior and we have the better PG and bench. Let Cleveland deal with the Hawks in the 2nd round, I still think the C's would prevail in a 7 game series against the Hawks, but I think Orlando would be a much easier matchup and I don't fear Cleveland having homecourt if we met them in the ECF.

Of couse this could only happen if the Magic hold off the Hawks for the # 3 seed.

I'd prefer not to have to play Game 7 in Cleveland.  So no, I'd go for the #1 seed, if possible.

Plus, the Cavs struggle with Orlando, meaning we could see Orlando in the ECF.

Yeah, what's wrong with the number 1 seed....the last time the Celtics took #1 in the East...good things happened.

C's should try to win as many games as possible and where they land is where they land

If that gets them the 1st seed great

2nd that's okay too

3rd nothing wrong with that either

I'll be very pleased if we can manage #3 at the moment.  A first round exit wouldn't surprise me much if we end up against a team like the Bobcats.

Luckily we can beat the Cavs in 6.

Sound good but won't happen. Celtics need a miracle to finish first.

  There's about 40 games left and we're down 3 or 4. That's a miracle?

i dont think so,,,,all they need is health,,,which i guess could be a miracle, but i would never say a team with KG, P-double, Ray, and Rondo needs a miracle to make up 3 games on a team in 1/2 a season
Looking for a Sig designer....obviously i will be greatful with tps.

Looking for a Wire - Rondo theme....PM with ideas and I'll tp

Here's a better question:

Is it actually possible for the Celtics to get the #1 at this point?  Realistically?

Definitely -- five games back with two games in hand and almost half the season left to play. Cavs without Mo Williams and Delonte West for the next few weeks too.

The Celtics can definitely catch Cleveland and claim the top seed.

Can, but we need to start playing better.

That's exactly my point.  Is that a realistic possibility, considering our continuous injury woes and attitude / focus issues?

I don't really think number 1 seed is realilstic, although teh Cavs are dealing with their own injury issues now. Number 2 is a possibility, because Orlando really is not that good and the Hawks are inconsistentm except against the C's. Three should be the worst they could end up, because it is highly unlikely they lose first place in the Atlantic.
