Tanguay was an abomination in this game.  It was actually sad how much you could tell that he wanted Tommy's approval.  Very uncomfortable.

maybe they told tanguay last minute, so maybe we cut him some slack, but OMGm, was he brutal. a train wreck of an announcer.

Right? It was nearly unbearable.

He has no concept of the game, he was unbelivabley excited over little things and missed key parts of the game. His calls were god awful.

as someone posting above me mentioned, he went off on the importance of smith picking up his third foul with 6 minutes to go in the game . he wouldnt shut up about what a "tough strategic decision" the clippers would have to make to protect smith from "fouling out".

I wanted to go all homer Simpson on him through the TV while shouting THERE"S NO DECISION!! HE'S GOT 3 FLIPPING FOULS MIDWAY THROUGH THE FOURTH!!! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND STRATEGY WITHOUT A TELEPROMPTER, LET IT GO!

/rant off. never again comcast.

I like tanguay because he is a dork. You know he is who he is. Granted he is not good at calling the game but oh well. I thought it was fun.

If you think he's bad doing the C's....you should witness a college football game!!!!

Things like....a team having the ball on its own 15 and a run of 8 yards "down" to the 23.....I always thought it was "up" on your side of the field and "down" on the opponents

Great pipes....should stick to Sports Flash

In my opinion, Tanguay substitution wasn't as bad as some have said.  Nails described it perfectly.  I enjoyed how excited he was during the game.  Some announcers at for other teams are more neutral but I like the Celtics announcer's homerism.

Tanguay also did a sub last season also.

Yeah to be honest I thought I was really going to hate it but, when he started getting overly excited in the 1st quarter I found it refreshing.  Gorman can tend to be a bit too 'realistic' in his announcing.  I also enjoyed the fact that Tommy basically ' bogarted ' him into not talking during FT's because he was jinxing the C's.  classic.

horrible.

what is up with Mike?

Was I crazy or did we see PP take a technical free-throw while Ray Allen was on the floor.  And of course, I am asking here, because the announcers didn't mention it.

If Scal doesn't pursue a career in coaching, I would love to see how he would do as a color guy.

Lol it sounds really weird to call the whitest player in the NBA a color guy
