This quarter is a perfect example of why the Celtics have struggled this season to put teams away --- they are playing great defense but wasting offensive possessions here.  Careless turnovers and bad shots have prevented the C's from building a big lead.

The Celtics of the previous 2 years would be up 15 easily playing this type of defense at home.  For whatever reason this current team can't sustain the runs long enough to put games away, letting teams hang around and quite often take over the game at some point.
12 - 19 so far this quarter. Sorry, but defensively that's amazing, and offensively we've been passing very, very well the past few possessions.

If they play like this the rest of the season, we're in the run for another banner.

We've probably shot 60% this quarter. It's like you are expecting a perfect quarter. Those rarely happen.

It's nice to see the team come out and play well in a third quarter.  It's been awhile.
Definitely is.

About once a game, Ray or Paul, kill this team by not giving it to Rondo on the break.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Yeh, I don't get it either. It's like he's watching a different game man. This quarter looks brilliant.

a PERFECT example there --- a 3 on 2 fast break and Pierce commmits another turnover then the Clippers come back and get 3 shots leading to a 3 pointer all of a sudden the lead is only 5.

A sequence right there illustrating the struggles of this team...

This has been a very solid quarter.  Very little letdown.

Very true, seen it happen twice already.

Yet, they've played a very solid quarter and carry a 5 point lead into the 4th.

How does a 15 - 21 quarter illustrate any problems at all?

I'm really puzzled!

Well of course I have to disagree --- if you don't think the Celtic teams of the past 2 years would be up much more than 5 points after a great defensive quarter then that's your opinion no matter how misguided it is.

100% the C's are very disappointed right now only being up 5 after appearing to dominate the quarter.

Just got home from a meeting and I see we are starting to roll over inferior competition now that KG is back. What, the C's are only beating the Clippers by 5, after 3, at home? Oh, nevermind.

up five is a nice site after recent 3rd quarter issues....the PP steal and then turnover hurt there toward the end as well as rascrub butler's 3...but i will take it...no we need the bench to hold

ummmm 21 points scored at home is considered a good offensive quarter???? Since that would equal a putrid 84 points for the game not sure that would be considered good offense in any way
