Probably my favorite part of this draft. Keep up the intermission videos. This should definetly be brought to the summer fantasy draft.

FWIW, I just calculated my Salary Cap figures... my Pick 2 MIL team is at $28.5 with 7 players -- and at the same figure next year w everyone back but Gooden.

Salaries:

Kevin Durant $4,796,880
Russell Westbrook $3,755,640
Greg Oden $5,361,240
Elton Brand $14,858,472
Charlie Villanueva $6,500,000
Anthony Morrow $736,420
Andray Blatche $3,000,000

All total, it's around $39 million.  That's manageable, at least.  Cap room is pretty overrated, especially with all the elite free agents protected by a "right of first refusal".

My starting 5 puts me over the salary cap, but none of them are signed for more than two more years except Nash.

I'll take advantage of this break in the action to get some Thai food.

While I'm gone, feel free to send me offers for my upcoming 5th round pick.

I'm also open to moving a guard (Bibby, Hinrich, and/or Gordon) as part of the deal.

In an Unrelated note, Chicago Bulls Ownership has announced that because of the millions saved by the brilliant GMing by first year General Manager KCatthestripe, they have attached Helicopter propellers all over the arena, creating the NBA's first ever hover arena, appropriately named "Air Jordan Stadium."

You guys better pick up your spending.  The NBA has a rule that team payroll can't be less than 75% of the salary cap (this season, $57.7 million), meaning that you have to get to at least $43.275 million.

It will be interesting to see if any of the big 2010 free agents will be tempted enough to leave their new look squads.

Cap space could be very valuable or not valuable at all.

Due to the right of first refusal I think it will be less valuable than it is now.

In this draft, it won't be valuable at all, in my opinion.  There was a rule added that teams retain a permanent "right of first refusal", allowing them to keep their keepers indefinitely.  That means that Lebron, Wade, Amare', Bosh, etc., will all essentially be restricted free agents.
