sorry had to take a late lunch --- so i'm looking over my board + who's been picked...

pick in 5-10  :-\

(yeah i got i PLamb, sorry not interested.. that's a steep price)

board is up to date, so it's reliable.

Available players list is no, or at least I haven't done it.

I've been keeping track on my draft board printout (yes I'm CBD-OCD  ;D)

convinced their only option in the East (and to get fans in the seats) is to build an athletic fast-breaking, team with good individual defenders, the Milwaukee Bucks select Tyrus Thomas

Andrew Bogut can run a sub 40 40 now?  ;)

The Milwaukee Bucks select Tyrus Thomas

This is the first pick by Milwaukee that I dislike. But half of the community here is trying to work Thomas into a deal for Ray Allen, so what do I know.

Toronto Raptors select Tayshaun Prince.

Love this pick, although, sure, would be nice to see him string together four-five good games soon. I had Prince near the top of my board, but suspected he wouldn't get past you.

And if there's anyone looking to move out of the 3rd round, I'm still offering my 4th and 6th as an extra pick, or my 4th and 5th for you 3rd and 7th or 8th in a two for two swap.

Thanks. I watched the Pistons-Nets game last night, and I think/hope Tay is rounding back into form.

34 mins, 15 points on 7-15 shooting (1-1 3PT), 8 rebs, 2 assists, 2 TOs

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
We're not gonna be fast, we're not gonna be that experienced..but darn it...we'll play defense, and we'll be around for a while.

A round early? Perhaps. I had this guy targeted from the time we decided we were going to do this, so frankly if any of you hooligans had any ideas about grabbing him, I wasn't having it.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Glad to know you had him locked in the fourth though, he was gonna be my pick. Nice to know I never had a chance.

He was actually my #2 if Williams got taken before my pick.  Nice selection, he seems to have a lot of upside.  Haven't seen him play much though, is he decent defensively?

Continuing to pick players a round to early in fear that they won;t be there later, the Bobcats select:

Johnny FlynnPG

to play the point. Probably to high for him to go, but the lack of PG's left in the draft coupled with the fact that i think he has tremendous upside and will be a heck of a play maker with the tools around him on the cats make him my choice.

Was a close 2nd to Prince on my board, but I wasn't ready to commit to the youth movement with Bosh.

You know i don't know why i make draft boards --- this is the 2nd time i've convinced myself otherwise, during the 30 mins leading up to my pick.

I do think a Jennings-R.Brewer-Chandler-Thomas group with Bogut rebounding (and Skiles coaching) can get 20-25 easy points a game just by outrunning the other team.

My whole frontline averages 1+ block/gm;
4 of my 5 starters avg. 0.8 stls/gm

that all said, i'm willing to move Thomas if some of the other guys i was looking at are still there in the mid-3rd round.

I like the pick.  You have three athletic guys that could really get at it defensively.

A bit, but he can score too.

He's putting up 14/5 right now, which isn't to shabby for a team like the wolves.

Hopefully on a team with a set of wing scorers like jackson/wallace, he can upgrade his play making ability while keeping his shooting/slashing game in play.

That was my rational when i convinced myself now was the time to pick him, at least :D
