Obviously the guy is trying to work on his problem, but it possibly sheds light on some of the issues surrounding him, as well as why a team would consider trading a 25 year old slugger(there are many other reasons)

Well, I'll give the guy a lot of credit, at least he is getting to the problem before it effects his performance on the field.  If this helps him get into better shape though, this guy is going to be on the Pujols/Mauer level.
do it

without knowing the ins and outs of the situation, one could suggest that it has affected his play on the field (if it affected his weight...not to mention whether he could be better then he was now if he hadnt been.

but I agree, good for him to try and get his head on straight.

Considering this guy has been one of my keepers since 2005, I hope he gets his head on straight and stays out of trouble.

He's ridiculously talented.  I'd just hate to see him waste it.  His ceiling is pretty high.
