Just thought it would be interesting to discuss this showdown game since the Celtics are struggling badly right now ; tonight will be a good night anyway because we are sure that either the Cavs or the Lakers will loose.

So, who will win, knowing that Mo Williams is out (shoulder injury), Jamario Moon too, and that the Lakers are healthy?

I kinda hope there is a rash of injuries, none serious enough to affect these teams in the playoffs (i want both of them at thier best) but serious enough to slow them down as we have been.

Wishing aside, I see the lakers taking it. They just seem like a more dynamic team, and as you pointed out they should be highly motivated.

I say LA. I'm surprised that they lost the first matchup at home this season, they are much better than cleveland. Maybe if the cavs bench shaq and open up the floor they might have a chance

Lakers should be pretty hungry after the Christmas day beat down they received.  I don't see the Cavs losing at home tonight though.  even without Mo.

we need the cavs to lose being were in the east.
aside from that, a part of me wants the Lakers to lose even more. them being the top team in the nba is making me throw up a little just typing it.

Nah.

I'd like to go on a huge run with KG coming back and get HCA too, but we don't need the Cavs to lose until we play them in the playoffs.

LA should probably win.

The xmas game was a guaranteed loss for the lakers anyway because they swept the cavs last season. It was more of a statement game for the cavs fans and league hype. Besides Dan Crawford reffed that game and if i remember correctly, Lakers pretty much never win when he refs.

I guarantee we beat the Lakers next week though. Too easy of a call.

well...mo williams has a torn shoulder....could be out some time...i am still waiting for someone to suspend west for his motorcycle ride with all his guns strapped up....funny how gilbert gets thrown under the bus but west just keeps on playing like nothing happened...i feel better about a 2-3-2 series with LA than a 2-2-1-1-1 vs cleveland with the cavs holding home court

Lakers are huge favourites in this game and in a possible matchup in the Finals against Cleveland.

The Cavs have done well to hang on in this game.

I keep expecting LA to make a run and pull away for good ... but it hasn't happened.

A little over halfway through the 3rd.

60-59 Cavs.
