OK I said it.

Rondo should be the main focus of this team. No disrespect to Pierce, KG, or Ray. Big-3 should to take a back seat and become complimentary players to Rondo. Banner #18 will be won with Rondo leading the way. Give him the REAL key to the ferrari, and hold him accountable.

THE END

Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

yeah... it would help if he, or anyone else, could score after halftime

If this is Rondo's team, then this team is winning nothing, because it means that the other big guys won't be contributing. This ig KG's team, and hopefully they will at least start trying to win games when he returns on Friday.

How many teams do you know who have been led by their point guard with everyone else as complementary? I think it is going to take you a long time to find one. Magic had Kareem, and so on and so on and so on. Derek Fisher was the Lakers' point guard last year.

this team's success comes from buying into ubuntu.  this isn't one person's team, we don't play like that and that is what makes us great.

having said that, and most people have recognized this since before we won the championship, as rondo goes, so go the celtics.  PP, ray and kg can struggle and have off nights, but when rondo struggles we lose..

That is beggining to be more and more obvious, but I think that this "rest the starters" is B.S.
Paul had 17 points last game and Doc benched him for 7-8 min, and after that he and the team were quiet.

If this is Rondo's team, we are in trouble.

When KG went out I said now we will see who the real MVP of our team is. I cant of meant in a cryptic way that it would be Rondo and everyone would notice. The thing is, after watching the last 10 or so games I have come to the conclusion that I wish our real MVP KG would hurry the heck up and get back.

I hate to reopen this but its true This is Rondo's Team. The only other big3 who is still consistent is Pierce. Ray has hit a mental wall. And KG is bugged down with injuries. But overall this is Rondo's team.

Today, it was Rondo's team on offense.

The next night, it could be someone else's.

The Celtics need to just start ridding what works in a particular game.

You're saying it's not Scal's team anymore?

I certainly believe he's the most irreplaceable on this team.  If he goes down, they're done.

I'm just pretty reluctant to say its his team when he is a liabiity at the free throw line, inconsistent with the jumper, and the keys to the offense are taken out of his hands down the stretch in close games.

TP.

Generally, you lose the keys when you're driving poorly. Rondo didn't initiate a thing in the last half of the fourth quarter. I definitely would have put the ball in someone else's hands.
