We need his toughness.

We need his manhug before games.

We need his killer mentality.

We need his malice.

We need his defense and his threes.

Posey had a great mental impact on the Celtics when he was there and I feel like he would keep us focused and motivated throughout the season.

I don't care if his contract is terrible, we need him back.

(You are free to express your disagreement and to claim that I'm crazy - by the way it's 4:44 am here and the Celtics loss may have make me lost my mind :P - ).

But, seriously, Posey is missed.

danny didnt want to sign him to a lesser contract then....why would he take on a contract he would consider worse now?

posey isnt playing at the level he was 2 yrs ago.  not the right move for the team.

Have you seen him play? he is far from the player he was two years ago. Looks old. Hmmm, he may be a perfect fit here.

He just hit a game winner for New Orleans. We would have needed it tonight. :-\ (joking, of course)

I know his contract is terrible but so is Sheed's. And Posey is still a very efficient player. At least he plays with more heart than the entire Celtics team right now.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
We could use some players with some fire, that's for sure.

How is anyone still second guessing the decision to let Posey go? Its been like 2 freakin years. There is no way to get him back, he is not worth getting back, move on.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

yes he is. At least he will bring back mental leadership that none of the celtics players nor our own coach posses.

He is playing like crap in charlotte because what does he have to look forward to playing there? They don't have a chance to win with their team rebuilding. The celtics have good pieces in tact to win it in theory but just need something to lit a fire under it.

Its Posey. Some of you guys thought it could be Wallace to do that but with all of his whinning and crying he has instead flooded the basement.

We need posey, charles oakley type of player pronto

Can I ask a question? Where was Posey's mental leadership on last year's Hornets team? Shouldn't his leadership have been able to right a ship when the team was on its way to losing 7 more games then the year before?

Lack of talent and injuries, Posey can do nothing about it.

Lets remember Posey is a "role"player and when in times of leadership i do not expect its his place to be that guy.Usually leadership is works best from example,a role player is not the type of player i would think is the best guy to look for leadership.CP3 and D.West are looked to as leaders on the Hornets,as KG,Paul, and probably Ray is on the Celtics, your best players.

true, but he is a "chemistry" guy and the chemistry is just not there on the team right now.

He also has a some Big Shot Rob in him and it's always good having guys that can make shots...

It's often been stated that Pose's influence on our team in 08 was overestimated, but I think a season and a half out we're starting to see that Pose was a really important cog in the team's inner workings....

There was very little letdown in 08 when KG went down with that abdominal injury...
