Sadly, I find myself more excited about a number of other teams in the NBA, teams I'd actually prefer to watch, given how the Celtics have been playing recently.

Don't get me wrong, I still love the Celtics, and I always will.  I'm sure things will get better.  But this is a way to vent my frustration about how lackluster this team has been recently, and how disappointed I am in them.

Here's my list:

- Charlotte Bobcats
- Houston Rockets
- Memphis Grizzlies
- Oklahoma City Thunder
- San Antonio Spurs
- Denver Nuggets

Maybe a couple others.

How about you?

I'm just sick of watching this team underperform.  I'm sick of tuning in only to get gradually more frustrated as I watch.

I almost wish I didn't like the Celtics so much so I wouldn't feel the desire to watch the Celtics.  After every Celtics game recently I've thought to myself "I should just stop watching them for a while."  But I can't.  I guess that makes me a true fan.  But I can't help wishing I were watching a different team, one that's coming together and playing hard every night.

Maybe the Celtics will be that team come March or April.  I'm just not sure, and I'm sick of that.  I'm sick of hearing that this is the middle of the season and it doesn't matter.  I'm tired of excuses.

Celtics are #1. I never miss a game. But since I live in TN, I've enjoyed watching this young Grizzly team when I can.

I like the Lakers. They're the best.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I follow the Celtics no matter how bad they're playing, but I'd like to see a little more of Ricky Rubio's FC Barcelona too.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
i didn't renew my nba league pass this season (lost interest / saving money)...but the other day i watched the 2nd half of the grizzlies / suns game and really enjoyed it.

i think the grizzlies have put together a solid team...chris wallace actually knows a thing or two about basketball afterall...

Rubio has really elevated his game this season. The way he annihilated McIntyre in that game was an eye-opening, if one was still needed. It's still early in the season, but this Barcelona team is probably the best European squad ever. I rarely miss one of their games, they're a funny team to watch (the downside is that pretty much every game is a blowout, even when they're facing other top teams).

Nope, Celtics or bust for me

Watching non-Celtic basketball, especially with national announcers that fawn over the stars in the NBA is just nauseating

Give me Mike, give me Tommy, give me the Celtics, no matter how they are playing and I am a very happy guy

That was a fun watch, thank you for posting.  I had not seen Rubio play.  Reminded me of how much fun it used to be watching Pistol Pete Maravich work his magic...
