This is just a quick rant:

I am sick and tired of reading all of these posts, threads, responses, making the excuse of KG being hurt, wait until KG gets back, or when KG does eventually get back, the excuse that are soon to come, of "KG's not 100%". KG this, KG that.

Listen KG is my favorite player and always has been.

Yes, KG is important to this team, but this is the 2009-2010 Boston Celtics, not the
1995-2007 Minnesota Timberwolves, everything should not hinge on KG. If we were the 1995-2007 Minnesota Timberwolves, then yes, everything hinges on Garnett, but not the 09-10 Celtics.

I am sick and tired of seeing and reading all of those KG excuses.

Are most these post using KG being out as an excuse or talking about what is missing from this team because he is missing?

Most on here think the Celtics should still be a top team in the East without KG.  We saw the proof last year.

But KG is what turns that into a title contender.

  • Yup
The teams effort level should not be judged by Garnett's availability or lack thereof, but taking a long view, I don't see how you can't hinge the teams ultimate success or failure on whether he's in the lineup or not?

It's a legitimate concern.

Yup

i agree. KG has never looked the same after last season's injury. even when he gets back he is going to have to get back in the groove.

with ray and pp struggling things have been looking bleak. we need medicare or something.

KG is our best defender, our best rebounder, perhaps our best mid-range shooter, a consistent scorer, our most intense player, and our leader.

He's every bit as important to our team as Tim Duncan is to San Antonio, or guys like Wade, Kobe, and Lebron are to their teams, albeit in a different way.

There are some problems that KG's return may not necessarily fix, but I think he's absolutely a huge part of our return.  People say that Rondo is the most important player on our team, but I still think it's KG.
