so the nets want labron and/or wade and bosh?
have i got a deal for them!
trade scal for yi!
we get a young dynamic big
nets get cap space and a even better chance of landing the #1.

not enough i'll sweeten the deal. we'll take back either lee, humphries or t williams multi year deals for one of our other expiring contracts.

worth a shot. they will most likely be dealing these guys before the deadline anyway

  • Yup
Not to mention the boost in attendance that they would get with the heroic return of Scal to the Meadowlands.
Yup

So the Nets are going to trade away two players they got with lottery picks in the last three years for $3 million of expiring money?

I was able to stomach Yi based on his stats and youth, but after seeing him play a few times this season, I want no part of him.  His defense is all kinds of bad.  At least you can depend on Scal to check his man.

The Nets did not draft Yi, Lee, or Humphries. They did draft Terrance Williams, who is a bum.

i was (unsuccessfully) getting at how some teams seem to get the player they need for next to nothing this time of year.

two years ago the lakers got pau gassol for next to nothing (no offence to marc g)
last year the magic picked up raffer alston after their point guard went down.
this year i bet the cav's land just what they need with out giving up any key players.
why not get into the action? oh yeah, no sweet heart deals for this team.

here's to kickin this fixed league in the arse

the pau gasol trade was (infamously) one sided.  we know that.  it doesn't look quite so bad now because the grizzlies got marc gasol in the deal, but nobody knew he was going to be good at that point.

the rafer alston trade had financial motives, and the rockets got a young pg in the deal if i recall correctly.

the only way the cavs are going to make a big trade is if they give up a big expiring contract (probably big z) and / or some young talent (hickson).

the celtics don't have a lot of trade assets.  that's why it'll be tough to us to pull off a "sweetheart" deal.
