As I scan through different internet chatrooms and blogs and websites that are sports related I get the general feeling that the success of Boston's professional sports teams have become spoiled regarding their good fortunes

It's almost as if Boston sports fans come to demand perfection and anything less is not accepted

Judging from talk radio, blog sites and booing of their teams in their own stadiums, one would think Boston's sports teams were cellar dwellers at times when the reality of the situation couldn't be any more different

So I ask, which of Boston's sports fans do you find to be the most spoiled and act like it

Remember, a team's fans could be spoiled with success and still act appreciative of that success

I am not asking which team's fans are most spoiled but which team's act the most spoiled
Pick 2 Knicks

SG: Ray Allen, Anthony Parker, Quentin Richardson

I think its neck and neck with Red Sox fans and Patriot fans.  Pretty much 1A & 1B.

Went with Patriots fan because up until Bledsoe & Parcells arrived, there were only the diehards.  Then everyone started jumping on the bandwagon.   There was some sort of transition in the mid-2000s where many Patriot "fans" (notice that I use that term loosely because of thea amount of sham fans that jumped aboard) became obnoxious and carried themselves with a sense of entitlement.  Rubbed a lot of the nation and other football fans the wrong way.

I think Sox fans are the most snooty about it at this point.  Not sure if that's different than being spoiled.  I guess you can be spoiled and appreciative (not snooty), so yeh..I voted Red Sox.
Yup

Red Sox fans, without a doubt.

They are sadly driven by their obsession with all things Yankee. The truly sad part is that if you asked a die-hard sox fan if they would rather see a sox win or a Yankee loss, their blind hatred would choose the latter. And all this after the greatest comeback in sports history...and that still wasn't enough for them. Not used to winning, I guess, unlike many of us longtime Celts fans.

And this Yankee hatred permeates all levels of their existence. You don't see bumper stickers saying "Go Sox", but you do see a whole sh__load saying "Yankees Suck". I haven't been to NY in years, but I doubt they (NY fans) have bumper stickers that even allude to the sox, never mind validating their existence by expressing hatred for them.

Sox fans want their team to improve and be better and win, not so much to be an end desired for team's loyalty sake, but rather as a means to not allow the hated Yankees to win.

Sox fans are like spoiled brats in that they want something when they want something, irrespective of the costs or consequences of what they want. How about upstaging the Bruins on no larger a stage than the Winter Classic chanting that lovely pro-Red sox (or is that anti-Yankee, or does one truly override the other)slogan "Yankees ____". Lots of class. Top notch! Must be the Fenway environs that engender that warm feeling, huh?

There are Celtic fans in every corner of the world. Beat LA is a slogan that I was not loathe to share with any of my children growing up and I was proud to tell them about that '6er game, the first time I heard it and participated in it. "Yankees S___" embarrasses me as a Boston sports fan. But for spoiled sox fans, just as with a spoiled child, to whom the end justifies the means, it's what they want.

So to all you Sox fans out there, you can keep hoping the Yankees S____, I'll just keep hoping we BEAT LA and anyone else in the way of us getting #18. Go Cs!!

Who voted for the Celtics?

Its awfully tough to make a compelling case for Celts fans when you incorporate Patriots and Red Sox fans into the argument.

I'd like to hear it, though.

From an outside perspective, it sure seems like the Patriots fans act the most entitled.

What I see of the Boston fan base is what I get from CSNNE, ESPN, Fox Sports, CelticsBlog and the other usual sources for people that do not live in NE.  Seems to me, the Red Sox fans were truly relieved to finally "break the curse" and Celtics fans were overjoyed by the Garnett trade and the magical year that followed.

Patriots fans have had the most sustained sucess in the last decade or so and their fans just really come across as the most spoiled since they not only expect to win, but they literally freak out at every setback/loss.

Just an Alabama perspective.

From a Massachusetts perspective, you have it exactly right.

I went Pats.

The Red Sox fans still have the Yankees to point at.

Pat fans see their team above all others.
