I'm working on something and put Bennett Salvatore in the search at YouTube and there is no shortage of videos about how bad/crooked this guy is.  It's pretty sad that these guys get away with so many instances of bad/crooked officiating and it will continue as long as Stern is the commissioner because he is at the heart of it all.

On the other post somebody posted a video of this ref calling a T on Iverson to get the crowd going.  It was pretty clear what he was doing was messed up and against the rules.  My question that wasn't answered then was what was the outcome of that situation?  It was clear he did something wrong.  Did the ref get suspended, a slap on the wrist, or did they just laugh it off and suspend Al Harrington for not having his shirt tucked in?

nice vid. definitely some really bad calls.

but, this happens to every team. in fact i think we've been pretty lucky this season in not having these terrible officiated games against us.

the league loves to keep rivalries going, so much they will pull crap like this. they know certain refs have biases against certain teams/players yet they don't do anything about it. in fact, they use the information and assign the refs they know will help influence the game so they can meet their marketing desires. its been like this for years, i hate it.


cavs lost to terrible calls against denver a week ago
orlando lost to terrible calls against the jazz a month ago
orlando lost to terrible calls against the wizards a week ago
lakers lost to terrible calls on xmas
lakers lost to terrible calls against portland
etc. etc.

the league does what it wants to keep things interesting. when one team wins against an elite team, the fans go nuts and faith is restored in that team. viewers and merchandise sales go up so of course the league is going to pull this crap especially with the bad economy. it happens every year at least a couple times, so i just try and live with it. but don't worry other teams get screwed as much if not more.

I think you will find a disproportionate amount of horrible calls in games reffed by the UNHOLY TRIO of:

Bennett Salvatore
Bill Kennedy
Joey Crawford

All three should probably be in jail...instead of being allowed to ref NBA games.

The refs suck and Stern hates Boston. We already knew that. This video is a classic demonstration of NBA officiating at its worst. I am sure that the Referees were responding negatively to the harassing Celtics fans during the game.

It seems like all the judgement calls have been going against us this year. Is it the Rasheed factor?

Last Season was worse than this one...Don't you remember that Portland game?(6 players on the court--and they get to KEEP the basket)...or the FLOPFEST in Golden State?...I really believe that BOTH the 97 and 07 drafts were rigged against us too.

there's no bias against us by the league. you watch other teams play and you see this he same stuff all the time. when crappy teams win against elite teams their fans get excited and start watching more and buying merchandise. it's a business during the regular season. if the league was against us we wouldn't have so many championships.

just be happy we haven't faced many bad refs this year cause last year was worse. teams that win against the defending champs go berserk.
